Follow-up by staff is non-existent. I've made several inquiries to resolve issues, speak to staff…read morebut the staff (principals, counselors and teachers) DO NOT follow through with parents. Math teacher Mr Dhanuka is extremely unqualified. Had to send the board of supervisors and district superintendent a message for help. Totally disappointed in the system run at FHS.

Past student here, graduated not that long ago. This school is absolutely terrible, especially with…read morethe students. I've had friends who have been stalked, had photos taken of them randomly, and have been physically harassed. I've even had friends get followed from the school and all the way down the street by teenage boys. I've gotten rape threats from other students that have been brushed off. It's normalized here. Most staff don't do anything, even if it gets reported. Even if it does get taken up with staff, it's forgotten about the moment you leave that office. I've watched a physically disabled student get laughed at and harassed by other kids. It all gets covered up in a heartbeat. Kids with mental disabilities such as autism also get bullied, and I've even heard of a student getting expelled for standing up for another student in a fight. I don't know if this part is true, but with everything else that's happened, I wouldn't doubt it. I have no issues with the teachers and the classes, at least not yet. Food budget is terrible and the agriculture program hardly gets any funding it seems, even now when I hear of current students talking about it. Office staff drive around in golf carts and have almost 0 amenities for students who have to skip out on rally's for mental or physical disabilities. I've had friends hear the librarian openly complain about having to miss the rally to supervise kids who NEEDED to skip them. Kids vape in the bathroom and blame it on other students, as well as having students threaten to shoot up the place, because that's what people do, right? If you have a "unique" kid they'll get bullied, almost everyone is two-faced in some way, and your words will almost always be SILENCED. I have met some genuinely kind teachers who are truly passionate about learning, which I'm thankful for them looking out for me, but the students are hostile and not friendly. That's where my major issue lies. This is just my experience, but I figured since my siblings may be going to Foothill soon, I may as well educate the people of what truly goes on behind the scenes.

I hate this school! I went there from 4th to 6th grade and I hated every second of it. For example…read moremy 4th grade teacher mrs vanauken was a very rude teacher, she forced my parents to get me a tutor (which was kind of helpful) but one day she gave me some homework that the tutor couldn't even figure out so I didn't do it that night so Long story short she basically got upset and yelled at me for not knowing how to do it (my parents didn't know how do to it either). 5th grade was cool I loved my teacher and it was a better year, but 6th grade was the worst! My Teachers name was Mr. Burbank and he was a straight up jerk. For example one day I had to work on an essay that I had, but I needed help on but The class was reading books and he was doing absolutely nothing so I asked him for help and he said no because I'm working with my class right now (I was in his class too!) so I just brush it off but I was really mad. Then a few weeks later we had to work on something that had to do with the A moral of a story And the moral was pleasure bought With pain hurts and I needed his help so I asked him for help and he told me to make an example so I used an example of a pet like the pleasure is having the pet the pain is the pet dying but he wanted to be a little more graphic and he use drugs for the example so he said it's like smoking marijuana or getting a shot of heroin it makes you feel good but the pain in the future is going to Sores with pus losing out of your face or your kids hating you or you stealing things to get money for crack And that made me so uncomfortable so I left that school but now I'm at a new school and I'm in eighth grade doing good and I never saw him or Mrs vanauken ever again So I would recommend going to that school.
