And of course having museli every morning is a lot cheaper than a bacon sandwich, so a good place if you're tight on cash. Very popular, it can get overcrowded on Saturdays. They stuff quite a lot into a small space, unexpected finds include toiletries (eco-friendly ones, of course). Scoopaways a great idea and a good place for cheap staples.

This is the shop to come to, to stock up on your quality vitamins. They do a great range of supplements, (including Solgar, which although expensive, are a good quality, reliable brand). They also carry an exclusive range of Swiss Herbal products that have proven to be a lifesaver on occasion. Beanfreaks also have an on-line shop that supports all of the products in their range. I hate to admit it, but I have considered using this service, rather than leaving the house when I have been feeling under the weather! Shame on me! Pro Health also carries a wide range of beauty products, many of them natural and organic (I was pleased to see an extensive selection of items made using tea tree oil), as well as protein supplements, nuts, and vitamins. HB sells all sort of health foods and vitamins, if you need vitamin~ then they will have it, and at a reasonable price. If you need to get dried fruit, they have that too. If you need garlic pills to avoid getting bitten by mosquitos....you guessed it they have that too! The staff are kind, and helpful, and if there is anything they don't have that you need they will get it in from one of their bigger stores!

I had a look around some of the little shops and then the Sainsbury's but then I found Beanfreaks. I did at first think it would be like other health food shops - over priced and a lousy range but this was a surprise. Gluten free products are actually on three different shelves so its worth looking around. There are all sorts of healthy goods here but the gf range is the best I've ever seen. Organ, energie, dietary specials, trufree and tons more, with baking supplies, noodles, pastas, and sweet treats all available. Some times there are deals on - I had to go shopping for some treats to bring back to Edinburgh and would have bought more had it not been for the space restrictions in my luggage. Great little find - wish we had one in Edinburgh but I did check and can order online :)
