You should definitely take my review with a grain of salt as I am not one who has bought into the healthy substitute, organic, vegan blah blah craze. I still wanted to go to Juiceland though because I've heard rave reviews about their PB&J smoothie and I love PB&J's and smoothies. I ended up ordering the originator and made it about 3 sips before I handed it off to my boyfriend. The initial taste is ok but the aftertaste has that tinge of bitterness that I will not accept with smoothies. The peanut butter was pretty subtle and tasted like the kind of peanut butter without sugar and the jelly taste reigned supreme although it came from the berries rather than actual jelly it seemed like. All in all, I could've made a smoothie that I enjoyed for a fraction of the cost so I guess Juiceland just isn't my place. read more

Normally, when I go for a smoothie, I usually take my business to that smoothie conglomerate that you can usually find in the strip center around the corner. On this weekday morning, I was biking by on the Heights trail, and thought I would give it a try. It was not yet lunchtime, but there were customers waiting for their drink orders. I bounce between this location and the West U location. When I heard they were coming to Houston and I just about lost it! JuiceLand is a must do in Austin when leaving after a long weekend. There are SO many options to accommodate all diets and needs. Morning Sunshine is one of my favorites when I feel like I'm catching a cold or just not feeling my best. The bee pollen works miracles! Paradise Found is one of my favorites after a good workout. I trained for the MS150 on the heights hike and bike trail, and would purposely plan the end of my rides around Juiceland to cool me down, especially in the Houston heat. Even though I'm not a huge fruit fan, I'd heard Juiceland had opened and that it was from Austin, so I had to try it, right? And I'm so glad I did! The employees there were super, super nice--I told them I wanted a healthy version of a milkshake, and they did their best to please my pickiness with a concoction of almond milk, coco powder, almonds, hemp, and other goodies that I can't remember. It turned out to be more like chocolate milk, and it was probably the most delicious, most healthy (and most expensive: $6 for a small) chocolate milk I've had. read more

It's a good experience, but I'm not exactly awed by it.. I've been to some of the JuiceLands in Austin, and I'm really glad that they're coming to Houston so others can experience it, but let's be honest, it's good, but is it really worth the price? I had the Honey Beary (4/5) and got to try the Bambaataa (3/5). The honey beary was one that I really enjoyed. Both were thick rich smoothies, but the honey beary was sweeter and fruiter, but the peanut butter taste was still pretty dominant. It was an interesting and good flavor combination, but the peanut butter taste was a tad too much. If you like PB, go for this one. The bambaataa was on a more tart side and although good, I personally wouldn't get it again. Too sour for me. Pricing: This was pretty overpriced. It was around $5 for a small but some were on the upwards of $6 to $7. If you want to save some money, I would suggest using their specials menu and just ordering that, but unfortunately you can't customize it that way. Atmosphere: there's a long bench that you can sit and enjoy your drink and check out some of the Black Swan Yoga stuff, and there are some chairs outside, but no tables or anything to sit and study or chill. The cool thing is, if you do go to yoga, this would be a great treat/meal after your workout! Parking: This is the Heights, there's not much parking, but the fact that they actually have a private lot with about like 12 parking spots is pretty good for this area. As far as juice bars go, this has great flavor, but a bit heavy on the pocketbook. read more

JuiceLand gave me a good experience, but it wasn't something that I would come back to. Tucked away in the corner of a shared building, Juiceland is more of a juice stand than a stand alone place. They did offer a wide variety of different juice concoctions as well as 4 different sizes. One of the biggest draw backs is the price of the juices since everything is $5 and up. I elected to get the bambaataa which was the special of the day. The deal was that I can get a medium bambaataa but pay the price of $6.50 which is for a small. While the juice itself was pretty yummy, I couldn't justify paying that much for a cup of juice. I understand the need of minerals, nutrients and vitamins from pure juices but I feel $6.50 for a 12 ounce is pretty ridiculous. Since it was a special of the day, I was told I couldn't modify it to put less sugar in it. Come on really? Just put less of the sweet stuff and more of something else, like water. I suppose paying for the regular deal is that much different (NOT!). While it is $6 is still affordable, I don't feel its worth it. The place itself is just a corner of a building shared with a yoga place and most of the seating area is in the front where it has a "beer garden" feel to it with wooden chairs and benches. Don't think i'll be back to try the other varieties of juices unless they have some sort of promotion going on like a buy one get one or something. If you're a hipster and are into this kind of organic fruits/veg, clean eating and toxin purging, then I suppose this place is for you. But to the common folk out there who value their dollar, I would stay clear because this place is just trying to sell you a lifestyle. read more

Yasssssss! This is weird, but I'm not here to talk about the juice. Yes, the juice is wonderfully amazing and is worth trying but oh my lawd the food options they have are beyond delightful. My fiance bought the vegan gyro and the frijole roller burrito. I'm pretty sure the majority of their food menu is vegan, so definitely check them out! The food comes in little plastic containers so you can grab it and go. It's nice to have another option with some tasty grab and go vegan options. read more

Ok, right out of the gate the people at this place upset me. I'm all about friendliness and good service and I just won't tolerate rudeness. From reading the other reviews, I was expecting top-notch friendly service. Well. The young lady was rude. I ordered a Large juice drink known as a Fountain... carrot, beet, lots of healthy stuff. The drink cost over 11 bucks so I truly hope it's doing me good. The wait for the drink was long but not too bad. The young lady yells my name and I walk up to the counter where a small as in very tiny beverage awaits me! I ask if it is a large (it obviously is not) and she just turns away and tells her work companion that it was supposed to be a large. No apology to me no anything to me. I am sorry to make a big deal out of it, but dadgummit kindness still matters in this world and no matter how much kale you eat or yoga you do, if you're impolite you ain't woke. This is me probably done with this place because I just don't do rude when I am being nothing but kind and spending my money. Otherwise, I liked the expensive juice and I liked the place. The only caveat I have against JuiceLand is their price, BUT other than that, I really like JuiceLand! I've come here a few times with friends who are obsessedddd with this spot. I decided to give it a try, and I actually really enjoyed their smoothies! I got the Moontower with some peanut butter, and I really enjoyed the creaminess and nuttiness of the drink (plus it's protein, so it's got some health benefits too). It was definitely a refreshing way to spend a hot Houston afternoon catching up with a friend. There aren't that many seats available, there's a few outdoor patio options and a few tables inside, but nothing excessive. I feel like this place is much more of a grab and go, (especially with the option of being able to call in your order ahead of time!) Parking is also kinda tricky in this area, but there are some street options on the surrounding blocks, if you're willing to trek a little bit to get to JuiceLand. For the price, I'm not sure if it's worth a trip every single day, BUT I do love the diversity and variety of options available to the Houston Heights community. I've treated myself to the Peachy Green and Morning Sunshine after a couple of yoga classes. I love both! Peachy green a little more than morning sunshine though. The staff is friendly and the drinks are delicious. They do not add any additional sugar (at least that's what I've been told, hopefully it's true) and I love that. The small fills me up too, so it makes a great snack. Peachy green sounds kind of scary if you aren't used to drinking green drinks, but I promise it's delicious. You can really taste the real peach in it. I've never really tasted kale in a juice before, which is fantastic in my opinion. I feel healthy and super cool drinking it. *flips hair* lol Morning sunshine tastes a lot like orange juice with a couple of additions. I got it for the local bee pollen...hoping it might help with some allergies. Not sure if it did?? You can tell that the pollen is in there, they are little granules that break up easily if you try to. I didn't mind it at all. I realized that I maybe I should have my epipen with me if I'm going to try something new...luckily nothing bad happened. Just a satisfying drink after sweating a gallon on my mat. Sometimes it takes a while to get a drink even if you're the first or second person in line. But, You can order the drinks before class and they will be waiting for you in a little mini fridge after class. I haven't tried that yet, but will do that next time. read more

I absolutely love Juiceland. It's my favorite smoothie place in Houston. They have great combinations and variety. In addition to high-quality smoothies, you can also buy a variety of Juiceland merchandise, such as tanks, shirts, coloring books, caps, fanny packs, or tumblers...or you can grab a free sticker :) In addition to being able to get your smoothie as a smoothie bowl now, Juiceland also has a lot of healthy snacks and meals for purchase. It's a perfect place to drop by after a workout! They have both indoor (shared lobby with Black Swan Yoga) and outdoor seating. You can also call ahead and pick up your smoothie once you get there, if you don't feel like waiting. They have daily specials, where you can get a medium for the price of a small (which is helpful, because as much as I love Juiceland, these aren't cheap - average around $7-9 per smoothie). They also have a special of the moment, where usually half of the proceeds go towards a non-profit. If you like smoothies and you haven't tried Juiceland yet, you 100% have to go! read more

I was overjoyed to know that there was a location here in Houston, as well...actually, I think there are at least 3. This particular location shares space with a yoga studio. Such a good idea! I'm sure a lot of the yogis end up stopping to get a smoothie after class. I ordered the Wundershowzen. It is absolutely the BEST! I love peanut butter and you get a potent taste of the peanut butter, which is heaven. The price is kinda steep, but you get what you pay for! I was a happy camper. Also, the smoothie is very filling. I actually had it as a dinner meal replacement. The parking here is....challenging. Very small lot and if you are going at the same time as a yoga class, makes things dicey. read more

I came here because I wanted to try something new and completely natural! While Smoothie King and Jamba Juice are okay, I wanted pure fruit and ice! It was fresh and natural.
