I've been going to JuiceLand for the last 6 years, pretty regularly and this one specifically because I lived in the neighborhood. Smoothies and juices are great, my favorite smoothie is the Wild Child and my favorite juice is the Beverly Clearly but I think that one is only available by the bottle now. I definitely border between A-OK and Yay! I'm a fan here at Juiceland. Yeah, I may go really, really often... and yeah, everything I've tasted there has been excellent. And yeah, it's pretty cool that they're locally owned and all that jazz. What's not so cool is the service. I've come a couple of times in somewhat of a rush, thinking that I could pick up my juice in 10 minutes or less, given that it's not crowded. (And jeez, even if it is crowded, why would it take more than 10 minutes to make juice? It's not rocket science... And they can do it in less time than that at Juicebox.) Every time I have made that assumption I have been burned. To add insult to injury, every time that has happened to me there have been two or more employees standing around in the back joking and laughing with each other. I work food service too, so I understand the need to cut loose a little, but when there is work to do there is work to do. Get it done, I ain't payin' $8 a drink for nothin'! This is our local Juiceland and we've been plenty of times, like the good Austinites we are. We went here on Monday afternoon to meet a friend and grab some juice while hanging out on the patio. We miss having the old location of Sweet Ritual here, but that's another story. Get those ducats out for the goods! Our favorites are Moontower, Originator, and Clementine. The Chai Chia isn't bad, but you need to have a certain palette for it. Sometimes we get wheatgrass shots on days when we've neglected our greens. Plenty more, but we generally stick to our favorites and feel that you can't really go wrong here. Service is slow. *Always.* Interestingly enough, we've actually also tried their falafel wrap, and as two Israelis, we have to say that it's surprisingly good. It's not necessarily "traditional", but it's fresh and flavorful. Juiceland is a funky little place where you can browse for records and play Mrs. Pacman in a bright and inviting space. I've heard some rave reviews about Juiceland from more experienced Austinites, so I just had to give it a try. I conveniently was able to work this location into my run this morning, so I didn't have to deal with the parking lot (which I did notice is tiny). The location is on a busy street, but they have a nice outdoor seating area hemmed in my plants. That gives the tables some peace and quiet, plus a nice, fresh, greenery feel. Inside is that rustic, healthy vibe that juiceries and coffee shops love so much. I ordered the Peachy Green smoothie. It tasted great, with lots of chunks of peach and kale. I'm not quite sure how this place works...some of the stuff on their menu sounded more like an item from Jamba Juice than a healthy store. I guess their focus is less on the health benefits of juice and more on a cold drink for a hot city. That's fine, just take note. The one thing I was not at all keen on were the prices. They're pretty steep for what you're getting. However, given how much produce prices fluctuate and given the slim profit margin many juiceries operate on, I won't begrudge them an extra couple of dollars. Juiceland is one of the great local places here in Austin. They have several locations in town. I like going to this one since they have an ice cream shop at this location. I'm lactose intolerant and all their ice cream here is made without dairy. I never knew dairy free ice cream could taste so wonderful! Half the time I come here is just for their ice cream Their juices of course are great as well. So many different choices to pick from. If you don't see what you like which is hard since they have so many to choose from you can build your own. My only knock is I wish the prices were cheaper. read more

Am I the only one that's a little bothered by how slow Juiceland is?? I walked in recently, taking into account that maybe they're short staffed (not a problem), and noticed that there were three people in line in front of me and no cashier for about another 3 minutes. The cashier came out with a smoothie and gave it to the customer. Then disappeared in the back again for 2 more minutes, returning with another smoothie. My trip here took about 25 minutes... mostly just standing around, and this goes for every location I go to. Yes I know, I can order ahead, but I usually just keep cash on me. All I'm saying is, if you're in a hurry, coming here as a walk in customer is really quite slow and each item takes pretty long to make. I wanna emphasize that I've never gotten unfriendly service, it just seems like they always have one person running the entire store. I feel like a long Starbucks drive thru is just as fast. Extremely fresh juice and smoothies, albeit a bit pricey. On my most recent visit I had the Berry White and my friend had the Home Run. Both smoothies tasted great and you could really tell that Juice Land purposely uses top-quality ingredients. My initial impression for the Berry White was that it was a little sour. However, that's only compared to the Smoothie Kings of the world that use lots of sweeteners, and I became accustomed to the taste pretty quickly. I was very satisfied by the smoothie itself not mainly because of the taste, but because of how refreshed it made me feel for the next part of the day. Taste-wise, I did prefer the creamier Home Run, though. Sometimes smoothies that are too sweet leave a nagging aftertaste that stays with you for a while. This is not so for Juice Land, as the refreshing taste of the smoothies instead make it the perfect "pick-me-up". read more

I just had a delectable Vegetable Kingdom juice which happened to be their daily special. It was DELIC! Seriously, so tasty, filling, and savory. I wish I could go there everyday which brings me to one of the 3 reasons I took off 1 star: 1-It's expensive. I happened to luck out with getting the daily special- for a medium it was $5.95 which was a great price for all the goodies you get in a juice. Regularly the medium is aprox $8 and then $10 for the large which I personally think is pricey. 2-The parking lot is terrible. The lot is super tiny and typically always crowded. 3-If you are in a hurry, this is not the place to go. Obviously it's worth the wait bc the juices are bangin but the service is kinda slow.
