This is my favorite spot in Summit for something healthy, quick, and delicious! I love the fresh ingredients and friendly staff. You have to give the High Test and Black and Tan a go. This place is great. I had the butternut squash soup, chipotle chicken wrap and their green light juice drink. All food was fresh and delicious. It's a small place that does not have seating. Perfect to pick up a meal. Sandwiches are prewrapped and soup is self serve. They have several different flavors of soup and sandwiches each day. All food is homemade by the owner. The food and smoothies are delicious! The people that work here are very nice too. The only reason I don't give 5 stars, is that they are very expensive, and also the place is very small. I know it is downtown Summit, and things tend to be pricey, but their salads are $7.50 for a tiny little container. Yum yum yum! Whenever I am in the mood for fresh guilt-free food options I head right over to Juice Caboose. The smoothies and fresh juices are delicious as well as the garbanzo bean salad but my favorite has to be the chicken and cilantro rice soup. This soup is made daily, and you can tell is a top seller because it sells out quickly. I've only recently started getting juices on a regular basis, due to some health issues.. In the past I've gotten something here or there. But for the last couple months I've been getting the Hawaiian green juice for its anti inflammatory ingredients & I've been very happy with them. Some of the items are delicious (cran-razzle, anyone?), some are bleh (could barely stomach the juice with all greens/berries). Good selection of unique and tasty soups which you can sample. My one complaint is that I wish the sandwiches were made to order because the freshness factor highly varies. Sometimes the wraps and sandwiches taste freshly made, sometimes they taste old/mushy (brown avocado/sprouts). I really like the yogurt with granola and fruit. Standard, but well done. read more

The loafs of bread taste unreal and even better than they have gluten free and vegan options. Many different smoothie options with fresh ingredients. I never thought I'd ever become a juicing fan but their Hawaiian chlorophyll drink is delicious! I started going here for their berry berry cool drink, then morphed into a green light fanimal. I've had green drink from deans in Chester, green seed in Denville ~ juice caboose is way tastier, more options available and believe it or not, cheaper than Dean's. I usually stop here on Saturdays for a green smoothie. Very inconsistent in terms of taste. Extremely expensive for what you get. I usually add a vitamin boost however I have to ask if it was added as many times the service forgets. This last Saturday I ordered two smoothies. Aloha and a berry smoothie. Big tasted poor. Aloha was loaded with banana even though I asked for little to no banana. Tasted horrible and was pure banana. Very overpowering. Hardly any coconut in the drink even though I asked for extra and was charged for it. The berry smoothie was all frozen fruit. Too sugary once OJ was added to it. For two large smoothie - each with a boost it was 20 bucks.... Some of the food is quite good. But not worth the trip. Place is very small and you can hardly move in it. read more

Was traveling from Charlotte NC and had THE Best experience. Day 1) Drinks were made fresh and tasty. Staff was friendly. Day 2) Had a shot of wheat grass and the most delicious soup. My wife had a wrap. Everything was perfect. Can't wait to visit NJ again to go back to Juice Caboose. read more

I wish the store were bigger and easier to get in and out of with a stroller-they have a big step at the entry way. Despite that, they are always willing to take my order from the door way while I wait with my kids. The drinks are all good-I have not had a bad one yet. Most surprising were their cold pick up ready-made deli items-soooo delicious. The sandwiches and salads are all fresh and tasty and I have become a huge fan. Definitely recommend. read more

I had walked by this tiny take-out place many times without realizing they have a fairly extensive menu beyond juices and smoothies. I recently enjoyed a subtantial veggie sandwich (I'm not vegetarian but it sounded great so I got it). Good value at $5.75 for the sandwich - half was enough for me for lunch, and I think the whole thing would be good for someone with a bigger appetite. My DC got a ham sloppy joe - he thought not quite as good as the Millburn Deli but it's cheaper (also $5.75) and it was tasty - he'd definitely get it again. Our sandwiches didn't happen to be available in the cooler so they made them fresh for us, which took a few minutes. I imagine they might not have been as good if they had been sitting for a while - especially the joe - but I'll certainly try a premade one next time if they have what I want. Did not try the soups or side salads but they looked good. The staff were very pleasant. read more

A little "hole in the wall" with a nice assortment of soups and chilis, to say nothing of all the juices they sell. I have tried their chili (classic beef chili) and was very satisfied with it. A 16oz container to go was $4.77, which is quite reasonable for Summit (half the cost of soup at Batavia, which sells pre-made Hale & Hearty soups). The chili was mild, nice and hot, and very filling. Have not tried the juices, but it seems to have grown in popularity over the last year or so. read more

The goal here was to get a quick smoothie for breakfast in order to beat the shore traffic heading to sea bright but a quick check in turned into a pretty long wait for my Acai bowl to actually be made (27 mins for a acai bowl and smoothie ). Good thing I didn't have to feed the meter. Atmosphere: very small location and not much waiting area and definitely no eating area but the menus on the wall were very visible and easy to read. If it was a busy day there would be no where to stand. Food: portion for the bowl was pretty small compared to a place like playa bowls and they ran out of bananas and blueberries for the smoothie (it was 8:30 in the morning..not sure how they ran out ). Overall flavor was pretty good though and did taste natural and fresh. About 17 dollars for a smoothie and acai bowl. Other than wait it was still a pretty good bowl and smoothie. Side note : was a little late getting to sea bright and could not find parking for two hours but let's leave that for another review. read more

The door and storefront is easy to miss. It's hidden on the corner of the street. The interior is very small, but their menu is huge and covers basically all the walls around you. They used good fresh ingredients. No credit card minimum. Fast service. Friendly staff. Great combinations of smoothies and juices to choose from. The hardest parts were choosing what to order since everything seemed so tasty and finding the door. They also sell a variety of healthy lunches like salads and wraps in to-go containers. I noted that they sold salmon, but I can't comment on the freshness since I only went for a smoothie. I got the Tropical Blend. My co-worker got the Tropical Wave. Both were good and you could really taste each fruit and ingredient they put in. Super fresh! read more

Great little hole in the wall joint. You've probably walked by it 100 times and never realized its there. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for - good, quality, healthy ingredients. I got the pineapple chlorophyll - pineapple + green light (kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, parsley). My personal favorite is the Black and Tan which is the same but topped with the eye opener (Orange, carrot, Apple, ginger, lemon). I saw today that they now offer almond milk as a smoothie base. I felt a touch claustrophobic in this place. Perhaps I would have been happier had I gotten a juice, but I found the menu to be a bit pricey. Juice Caboose has so many delicious offerings, and mind you, I'm writing this from Manhattan where there are juice shops and health food stores galore! Juice Caboose certainly stacks up against mainstream competitors, like Juice Press, Juice Generation, Juice Shop, Jamba Juice, etc. Everything I have had, including smoothies, cold-pressed juices, salads, sandwiches, and baked goods, has been super fresh and full-flavored. And because of that, you can tell that a lot of thought and care goes into every recipe and product. Most recently, I did a three-day juice cleanse and it was awesome. The owners gave me a lot of guidance about the cleanse process and there was a wide range of flavors to choose from. Needless to say, it was a very juicy experience, and I'm looking forward to doing another cleanse soon! read more

I am quite shocked at some of other the low reviews. Compared to any other Juice place in New Jersey, this place rocks! The menu is outstanding and everything is fresh. I can't believe people are complaining about prices, I don't think they realize how expensive it can be to make fresh juices and carry such a wide selection. Last week was my first time at this establishment. When I walked in I was greeted by the staff. They have an abundance of smoothies and juices to choose from. I was overwhelmed and literally asked the lady that was ahead of me what she ordered, as it looked very good, I reviewed the ingredients and asked the guy who was making the drinks to please "give me what she has!" I was pleased at first sip. I also got something similar to an empanada, it was sooooo good. Love this place for smoothies, fresh juice, and even the occasional wheat grass shot. I used to get the herb chicken wrap, but they haven't had it recently (although the owner made it for me on the spot one time when he heard me ask about it).
