Allison University, this unique market (in an old yellow house) offers a good selection of organic and gluten free groceries, health foods, and vegetarian products. They carry vitamins, dietary supplements, fair trade organic coffee, teas, cheeses, chutneys, salsa, buckwheat flour, bread mixes, lentils, flaxseed, organic baking mixes, organic molasses, ceramic teapots, handcrafted goods, and much more. The back of the market houses a cozy gluten free bakery cafe counter offering fresh gluten free & organic baked goods (focaccia thin buns, cinnamon buns, muffins, cookies, cakes, breads), sandwiches, soups, salads, fair trade organic coffees espresso, lattes, and real fruit smoothies. The menu is gluten free and vegetarian with vegan and dairy free options. There's seating along the back window and outside covered patio seating in front of the market. Before heading out, we shared two gingerbread cookies (organic & gluten free) for our light snack. I was sadly not fond of any of their gluten free treats like cookies or cheesecake. The employees are friendly and helpful. There is plenty of seating and good sound absorption, so it doesn't get too loud. The menu system is pretty confusing, though. There are some on the wall in chalk, some online, some on regular menus, some on flyers/papers, and in the display case. I love the options, but it can be difficult to know what all there is.
