A gorgeous vacation house in the hills of Dorf Tirol. We found this place randomly searching the…read moreinternet for places to stay in Meran and decided to try it out. It's a big house with some apartments and also there is a detached house next to the big house that has two apartments. We stayed in the detached house. The lady who runs the place is incredibly helpful and welcoming. There is free wifi here and you get towels and bedding with the place. You don't get anything else and you need to be organized if you book here. Most holiday homes in the area are similar. The flat we had was very spacious and had a nice sized living room, kitchen with a dining area and a nice bedroom. We also had a big balcony with fantastic views of valley and the mountains. There is a nice pool with plenty of deck chairs again with a great view. They will organize fresh bread for you each day if you so choose. German or Italian are the main languages here and English is not a strength. If you can speak some German you will find it much easier however I am sure it you don't speak it, things will work out fine ;-)) price is reasonable also quite reasonable. You can do a lot of walks from here and you could also walk into Meran if you so choose. Shop in town for groceries before you come up the hill here as it will save you a trip. All in all truly surprised by this place and I would happily come back here again. Location is fantastic and if you like walking all the major walks are very close to here. I am glad we found this place.
