Guests were of all ages, with various interests, and from all around the world/Germany. Beer and breakfast are inexpensive, and the coffee is always free! The receptionists were very warm-hearted and accommodating and always available to answer questions. There's a lovely garden space with a friendly neighborhood cat. A very convenient location in the center of Weimar; all the buses stop right in front of the hostel and it's an easy walk to the train and Flixbus stations. There was a very sweet feeling of community that made Labyrinth a home away from home for the three weeks of my stay.

This hostel's major strength is that it's cheap. The hostel was overbooked when I stayed there…read morewith a group. You're forced to use an antiquated pay-for-internet-time system that works sporadically at best. The rooms are small. Showers are on a short timer. And, during a stay with a group, the hostel screwed up the reservation with no apology. If fact, the approach of the staff and the manager is that they're doing a favor by just being there. Maybe it works for Germans familiar with such an attitude. But if you're a foreigner be very wary of this place or at least be prepared to be insulted. There are alternative lodgings in Erfurt and Weimar. I would urge you to consider them.
