Bad experience with this attorney. She overcharged me, a ridiculous amount of money. $10,000 for a simple divorce that we had already settled most of the assets. She said she could get it done in 2 months, it took her 3 weeks to serve my husband and he systematically emptied our home of its assets while I waited. It took 4 months to get this done. Mistake after mistake. She filed somebody else's restraining order under our divorce case in Galveston county, then she sent me another clients information on some forms she wanted filled out. My ex husband paid $3000. His attorney was reasonable. She billed me for talking to his attorney for 90 minutes. There was nothing to discuss-- maybe 10 minutes worth. She refused to provide a detailed itemized bill, then when she gave me the 2 page document, it was also contained mistakes and made up, inflated charges.
I found out after I hired her that she was working for a busy firm doing per diem cases and I was her side job. She has no office and meets clients at starbucks.
I dont recommend. I'm still waiting for the refund on my overpayment. She refused to file my divorce paperwork until I paid the final bill. Unethical, dishonest. read more
