Ordered through DoorDash. I got the nachos supreme with chicken. The tortilla chips are the basic tortilla strips you would find at a grocery store. Wish there was more effort by adding better quality tortilla chips. They were nice enough to separate the topping in containers so it won't get soggy. Chicken was very dry. It's way better than El Pollo Loco kind of similar to like Pollo Norteño and Boston market but really homestyle and I feel like it's cooked with love. The service was good. It's a little place. You can eat in, but I'm pretty sure a lot of people get takeout. My family had a whole chicken, three sides, salsa, and tortillas for about $30 with a little extra for tax. For the flavor and the amount of food you get I'd say it's worth it. The beans were flavorful, nice and soft, not watery. The rice was cooked with their chicken and some fresh green onions. It was aromatic and delicious a little crunchy, but we could work around that. And the chicken was seasoned to perfection grilled to perfection not dry no pink meats. I just really enjoyed it. I never eat chicken skin but here it's full of flavor without being salty and I love that. I know there's other places out there that might be cheaper. Very unimpressed. As others have noted, the chicken IS better than EPL. Juan Pollo falters in every other way, however. The sides I've tried are nothing to speak of. The rice is very dry; the potato salad, with the consistency of mashed potatoes, lacking in taste. The customer service experience is straight out of the 1980s, but not in a good way. Upon entering the restaurant, one is bombarded with handwritten notes and taped-up flyers either promoting "specials" or notifying the customer of policies. In two places, one is told that both credit and debit purchases incur an additional 49 cent fee. (Who still does that in 2019?) This company has been around for awhile; there's no reason it can't do better than this. read more
