The food is hit or miss. Some items like tacos taste ok, but the burritos have really strong flavors and remind you of Taco Bell . Spent 30 dollars for 2 very small burritos which fell apart art and one kids taco- likely will only return for taco happy hour as they seem to do better with simple items. First time Customers. Me and my wife arrived around 1:30 pm . All the tables were dirty except one. Menu offered an assortment of Tacos and a few sandwiches with strange toppings . Food imo , is way overpriced. Wife got Chicken tacos and I got Loco tacos. There was so much spice pepper on our food, our noses were running. We had difficulty eating the food. No table service, you order and get a number and your own drinks. Chips were crumbled . We both got indigestion. Taco Bell is a much better choice. read more

Saw the cook on his phone when i walked in and he proceeded to handle my food barehanded without washing his hands or putting on gloves. I told the young gentleman at the register to address the cook in which he waved him off , put on gloves without washing his hands. Needless to say I will never come back. Our phones are filthy. We went on Saturday May22nd after my wife had heard a lot of good reviews on social media- first impression- the place was filthy!! 5 tables to choose from 3 were dirty 1 had a family sitting at it and the fish was taken by an employee as we went to sit down - we moved to the high top area and 1 of the 2 was dirty as well. The employees seemed to be having their own private party more than helping the customers - 2 taco's a fish sandwich can of wine and a bottle of water. This is a high priced Taco Bell. Got the Chori Pollo Burrito for $10.25. Lots of "flavored" rice and very little chicken or chorizo. Cup of soda was $2.25. Lots of better Mexican restaurants around.....better food at lower prices. Seen an ad on Instagram and decided to give it a try. Not a huge place, but plenty of seating. A+ Customer service from Paula. Asked what she would recommend and she literally went through the entire menu to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I settled on the Chori Pollo Burrito. I'm telling you, this was the best damn burrito I have ever had. My husband got the Arranchera Quesadilla and loved it. We live 30 min away, but it is definitely worth the drive, and we will be back. This is my new favorite spot in Cornelius! Me and my mom have no stop been since it opened. The shrimp tacos are amazing !! The portions of rice and beans are generous. The seating is so nice inside. Ordered Juan Loco for lunch and it was SO yummy! I ordered the gringos tacos which I loved however the pork def has some good size bites of fat (probably standard for pork but kinds turned my stomach personally so if you don't like a chewy bite- pick another protein!). The queso, salsa, flavor in the tacos etc was really really good! My husband ordered the Cali burrito and while he said it was so good and flavorful, it's also heavy on the potato so that was the dominant flavor. Cannot wait to try again! I think I'll get the nachos next time I can dine in! read more

Ed our "server" was very charismatic, funny, engaged, and knowledgeable. I say "server" as its a restaurant that you order at a register and they bring the food to you but Ed made it seem as if he was serving us. Food was on par for Latin American food, alright for the price however we left Ed a little extra on the table as he manicured our table and asked us how everything was going and made some great conversation. Alright food but loved Ed and the atmosphere. Give Ed a raise he could easily be an amazing server at a much more upscale place. read more

The guy told my wife we ordered on a delay, she had to show her email to prove she did not. They worked on our order after waiting for 30 min and there was no apology or acknowledgement of any kind. Food is good but tonight went in and ordered 2 dinners and water. We don't drink anything other then water and they gave us a 4 oz cup! Are you kidding! We eat out a good bit and have never had that happen. We have been charged .10 cents for a cup at other restaurants which I'm fine with but come on a 4 oz cup. I was really looking forward to trying this newer place out. Very sad to say, I was let down. Everything I asked for regarding our order was completely wrong. The worst part was that we got it to go. I live maybe 2 miles away. Food was cold, taco's soggy and when I asked for no guac. and tomatoes on one of the dishes it was filled with extra. I personally had the bowl. Wish I had pictures. It was like soup in my bowl. I was able to get 1 bite of dinner. So almost 40$ for2 dishes and some chips and salsa was all thrown away and family agreeing never to eat there again. Maybe it was an off night, wish this place well. End result for us.. not impressed at all & a true waste of money. :( read more

This used to be our go to spot for a quick yet delicious burritos. Then became a hit or miss. Then just a Huge miss. Not sure if management changed, or the people in the kitchen changed, but it is just not good anymore. Half the steak is nothing but fat, or hard and not edible. (Wish we took photos) Could not even finish the burrito because it tasted sour and the meat was disgusting. The kids running the cashier are not friendly or welcoming. If you order to-go, just check to make sure you have everything you ordered because most of the time something will be left out. Hard Pass on this place now. read more

Visited for the first time yesterday and I am sad to say it was very disappointing. I was really hoping for a quick, Mexican go-to in Cornelius, but this is not it. I ordered the Loco Burrito with chicken and my wife ordered the Pastor Burrito. My burrito had absolutely no flavor and almost no chicken inside. It was essentially a rice, refried bean and queso burrito. There was no seasoning at all on the chicken. My wife's burrito was also light on both pork and pineapple. We also ordered some chips and guacamole. The chips had absolutely no salt/seasoning of any kind. The guacamole and salsa were actually the highlights of the meal. At almost $10.00 per burrito, I was expecting a meal at least on par with Chipotle, but this is no where near as good. If you are in the area and looking for quick Mexican I would recommend Carrburritos, in Davidson, or Zapatas in Cornelius. Zapatas might take an extra 5 minutes, but you'll get tasty food. This place seems destined to be gone within 18 months, just like the Little Big Burger it replaced. read more
