My boss had visited Dr. G and RAVED about him, so I took her advice and went to see him. I work uptown and live in Pineville, but the haul to Matthews was totally worth it. He fixed me up in two visits! Fast forward two years, and the problem has reared its ugly head again. (Now almost my entire office sees Dr. G.) This time, the problem was much worse, so I was afraid he either wouldn't be able to help or it would take 37 visits. Nope - it took 3. Obviously my cases may be different than yours, but here's what I love about Pro-Active. - It's small, and you get super personal attention. Stephanie is the only other staff person besides the doctor, and she answers the phones, makes appointments, greets you, takes your payment, AND gets you set up with the STEM unit or laser. She's probably the nicest person I've ever met. - Dr. G isn't just going to pop you and send you on your way. Most of what he does is active release therapy using pressure to relieve your pain. He only pops and cracks you if you truly need it, and sometimes I don't need it. - Dr. G is really down-to-earth, and he doesn't rush through your treatment. He also genuinely wants to help you as quickly as possible and doesn't try to talk you into coming for additional appointments you don't need (as I've had other chiropractors try to do). He's also funny - a plus considering some of the weird contortioning you have to do. I can't say enough great things about Pro-Active, Dr. G., and Stephanie!

My wife contacted Chiropractic Health of Matthews to ask if they were in-network for her Blue Cross…read morehealth plan. They said they were, so she made an appointment. At the appointment, they charged her the $25 in-network copay associated with her plan. She was not impressed with the chiropractic treatment she received - didn't seem to help. She had decided not to go back. A couple of days later, she got a bill from the their office for $272. They said they found out they were NOT in-network for my wife's specific plan and she owed for the full visit ($297). What! They were the ones who said they were in-network. Otherwise, my wife wouldn't have gone there. When I called them to discuss this, I asked to speak to a supervisor. She was not available (of course) but would call me back. That didn't happen. I had to follow up until I finally was able to speak to her. She said basically it wasn't their problem and that they didn't find out they weren't in-network until they put through the charges. So the incorrect information they told my wife is HER problem, not theirs. I had to keep following up with the supervisor, who supposedly had to run it by someone higher, and it went nowhere. I would NOT recommend this business from a medical or integrity standpoint.
