Growing up I totally disliked soy. It was all my daughter drank in her baby bottle, because she was allergic to milk. As I got older, I now love soy. My relatives were talking about a fund raising event which they attended at Manila Golf. They had street type food at the event that is always something we could count on being yummy. They stated that they were going to have taho there. I haven't had taho in the Philippines for a long time. So I thought I would try JoyBean's twist on the taho of the Philippines.
JoyBean is from Singapore and it is actually known for their fresh daily made soy milk. I haven't tried that yet, because when I have soy there's always something mixed with it. In this case I had their soy pudding that was within the Premium Taho Soy Pudding. I have to admit that I like their Premium Taho Soy Pudding more than the typical taho from the Philippines. It really isn't much of a pudding to me. It had more of a panna cotta texture to it. I happen to love panna cotta. Since I happen to love panna cotta and taho, I gave them 5 stars. The textures and the taste of their taho was better than what I grew up having. By the way, the boba in their Premium Taho Pudding had miniature bobas unlike the taho from the Philippines. read more
