When you are tired of the music that don't make sense, this station is refreshing. I especially like the "morning cruise" Bill Martin and Dave Cruse and double kudos when Carmen Brown host along with the crew, she has plenty of upbeat comments and a *unique funny laughter, which is easy and recognizable when she gets going in her laugh, you can hear her cute snort . Then there's Dan Brodie in the afternoon, he can also be as zany but strict into the word of God throughout the day. A fine Jayar who drives you home with his blessings and good music .. Michelle Tellone has a young vibrant voice for radio keeps you upbeat from dinner time to bed time. Her praise and worship is modern and contemporary. When it's time for bed you should have Steve Surrete on the boom-box, he's a NiteLight Jazz Christian DJ who uses Christian Jazz music as a blend to the daily contemporary. Their outreach prayer messages goes out to all that falls short in prayer and wisdom. This station is certainly a family friendly station and is clean as a Holy Whistle on the air. Uniquely unlike typical radio stations the Joy FM is funded by the community and not by any commercial ads. You can say it is Entertaining, Conservative and a humble Christian radio station. I enjoy the stations' latest in Christian Contemporary Music and all their entertaining hosts! I have to credit this radio station for raising my new interest in attending Christian music concerts all over Florida! I agreed to make an anonymous donation IF they send me information of where to send the check and provide me with their non-profit paperwork. They announced my private information and address during their radio show, later changed their story saying "it was an ad space for a non-profit" that I had agreed to PAY for and it wasn't an actual tax deductible donation. WTMY / AM 1280 Radio Sarasota is not a station that you can trust.
