I once said that I had found my 'forever stylist' and I really thought I had but with my short hair, I thought perhaps 12 years of basically the same 'do', it was time to get a fresh set of eyes on the subject. Jorge did not disappoint. He didn't have much to work with as I had just had a cut, color and highlight 5 weeks prior. His fresh set of eyes saw a new 'do' and it looks terrific! I really hate to do this because I would prefer to be his only customer however it's way too late for that. Michael has been my hair stylist since we were toddlers and I would never EVER let anyone else cut or color my hair. My natural hair is unruly and belligerent but he tames the beast and I walk out looking like a movie star. He uses special color that's easy on the hair and gives me a cut that whips those cowlicks (wherever did that word come from?) And if that weren't enough, he's handsome and kind and goes out of his way to make everyone happy. Heck I would go sit in his chair just to hear his funny stories. I have been going to Jorge for 10+ years and have faithfully followed him all over Austin. He is an incredible-- well...artist...is the best way I can describe him. I was initially referred to him by a friend because I loved her hair and have since referred many of my friends to him and they are now loyal customers. My husband now only gets his haircut by Jorge and my kids have been going to him all their lives. He listens to your ideas and can execute them flawlessly but also knows your hair texture and will let you know if a style you have in mind might not be the best fit for your hair. Jorge is AMAZING. I have been getting my hair done by him for 3 years now! Thankfully! I remember the first time he did my hair I left the chair so happy as I had moved from Michigan to Austin and I found myself in a very bad place trusting anyone to cut or style my particular type of hair. Being that I have ethnic hair I knew it would be a challenge. On the particular day I saw Jorge my hair was perfect when I left but the humidity would not allow this to be, my hair immediately reverted back to its natural state so I called Jorge and I told him the unfortunate news! He said come back tomorrow when it is not raining and we will get you taken care of. He rewashed and blew my hair out the next day and I could not ask for better customer service than this! It was this time that Jorge talked to me about getting a Brazilian Blowout and how much it would help the state of my hair and relieve me of my constant struggle with my hair and humidity. I came back the next time for a Brazilian Blowout and that changed my life. My hair has grown so much from the unhealthy state it was in before Jorge began working on my hair. His haircuts are perfect he always does exactly what I like which is why I only trust him to this day with scissors to my hair. Today I went for a Brazilian Blowout and I have never felt better it is absolutely perfect! Soft, flowing, and perfectly trimmed. Also, Jorge gave me an amazing serum to try with my Brazilian Blowout conditioner and shampoo that he used on my hair today that I am extremely excited to have at home as it helps detangle which I really need and appreciated!
