Clarks shops are basically the same all over the UK so there are no surprises - you'll find a great…read morerange of sturdy kids shoes (and adults too, but we always go here mainly for the kids !)but the prices are relatively high. You do get what you pay for though. The staff are friendly and competent, they know how to put the children at ease and are quite happy to spend time measuring feet and checking sizes. Unlike some shops, if they haven't got the right size, they'll send you away empty handed rather than trying to fob you off with the nearest size they do have. The ticket system is handy to avoid stressful queuing as it can get busy.

Although i would…read morethink 'shopping centre' is a little too grand a name as it's a relatively small collection of shops, especially compared to the Arndale Centre. There is a car park attatched to the Enterprise Centre, in which you can usually find a space though it is charged for. The shoe shop itself is an ok size, stocking a decent range of shoes aimed, i would say, more at the middle aged market. It's certainly not high fashion - i have never found anything in there that i would buy for myself. The prices are not particularly cheap but are reasonable enough - in line with perhaps clarkes, maybe a little cheaper. If you are in the Enterprise anyway, it could be worth a look in, but i wouldnt make a special trip!
Great little (little being the operative word!) store which stocks a pretty good variety of shoes -…read moresmart, casual, evening, slippers etc. They cater for men, women and children and stock a few well know brands such as Hush Puppies and Rockit Dog. Most goods well priced and of pretty good quality. Staff are polite and fairly helpful. There is parking in the Arndale Centre car park which is charged for but convenient. Worth a visit for reasonably priced shoes for the whole family.

Shoe Zone is definately cheap and cheerful. If you are after quantity over quality then this is the place for you! They stock mens womens and childrens shoes, in large quantities so you can usually find something you like in the size you need. I would steer clear of this shop for things such as school shoes or sports trainers as although you can get them in here they just arn't up to the job to be honest - you are better paying a bit more for better quality elsewhere as it's a false economy buying them cheap from here - they just need replacing far more often. For fashion shoes though, i can't fault them. Ugg style boots for my 2 daughters in hot pink were a snip at £7 each and a real hit with them both. Well worth a look.

The store is quite large and they have a faith shoes franchise within the store. Changing rooms are a bit limited with only two cubicles in the ladies and a communal section too - not great if you, like me dislike showing the world your lumps and bumps! In my experience the staff are usually quite helpful and in good supply. The clothes are well made and tend to stand the test of time too. Another store within the Arndale Centre so as usual, there is parking in the car park but it is charged.

I love the fact that a lot of the ranges come in various colours too so I can buy one of several colours if I want.
