The chicken was a bit too sweet for me but still good to try. The price for a pork/chicken combo was about 150 pesos. Chicken butt kind of tasted like chicken nuggets. Beware of the little chilis they give, small but lethal. I wouldn't try the water cause it's from the tap. Just stick with soda or bottled water.

Gold! In a small city like Davao you wouldn't think a great burger joint would exist but Backyard…read moreBurgers changed the game! They have a wide selection of tasty burgers, sandwiches, fries and drinks and for premium patty burgers, the price is actually quite alright. And by okay I mean on a national level, not in a province like Davao kind of level where people are always looking out for cheap places to eat. I ordered their BB Hussein Kebab Burger for 195 pesos (not a meal), and it tasted magnificent in my mouth! While the flavors were strong, I wish I could've tasted more of the caramelized onions. But the sauce and the beef strips were perfect! It's impossible to eat this burger without being sloppy because they are generous with every ingredient! The place is spacious but... Downside is there's smoke everywhere from the grills. And it's really hot (like it almost seems like their ACs are useless). So I suggest wearing something light and not going anywhere afterwards unless you want to smell like burgers and coal right after someplace else. Another downside is parking! There's no parking area so you have to look for a place to park on the road! Goodluck!

The good the place is fine, the price is somewhat alright. they offer promos often. My basis for rating a burger 5 star is by the time you dont need to add ketchup to it as the sauce in the burger is enough to please you with its taste.

**Great Food, But Portions Have Shrunk**…read more My girlfriend and I love Rekado. We first ate here last year and were amazed by their kare-kare and lechon kawali. Fast forward to this year, I brought my girlfriend and my brother to eat again. While the food was still delicious, the portions were significantly smaller--about 50% less. I posted a comparison of the kare-kare and lechon kawali dishes: on the left is April 2023, and on the right is May 2024. You can see that the portions have literally halved or more. Additionally, this time, the kare-kare had only one piece with actual meat, and it was very little. When we visited, there was an event, and we asked the server how long it would take for the food. The estimate was 15-20 minutes, but the food arrived in 25-30 minutes. It would have been fine if our expectations had been set correctly from the start, so we could have ordered appetizers since we were already hungry. Overall, the food is still delicious, but please improve the portion sizes.
