We had visited this shop previously on a number of occasions, and had always found the staff to be helpful and friendly, however we feel that our last experience was so aggressive and unpleasant that we have to let others know. Because of the previously good service, we decided to show the place to two friends - both well over the legal age of 18. Within one minute of entering the store and looking around, they were both asked for ID - a perfectly reasonable request which none of us objected to at all. However, upon realising that these had been left in the car, instead of being apologetic and asking them to leave politely, both members of staff instantly became incredibly agressive, even when both of our friends left quietly and without objection. We were shouted at, accused of breaking the law, and ridiculed in front of the other customers. When my partner politely pointed out (when he could get a word in edgeways) that we had done absolutely nothing wrong we were told that because of our actions the shop could be closed down - after this reaction I hope it does, because it does not deserve to be run by such despicable people. The whole situation was extraordinary, and I have never experienced such bad service in my entire life. Please do not visit this shop - the staff at Magic Bus and Quintessential in Truro are world's apart - friendly and incredibly helpful. Do not give these people your time of day - they are even so dishonest as to remove the negative comments we have already posted. As all of us work in retail, we all appreciate that businesses can only be sucessfully run on a strong reputation and excellent customer service. Congratulations. You have succeeded in losing four customers and damaging your reputation.
