I needed professional headshots taken for my applications for graduate school. So, I did research online and stumbled upon Johnny's website. He was very prompt in scheduling my photo session. We took my headshots in Downtown Riverside. He is such a kind and welcoming person! He kindly taught me how to pose for every shot. My parents almost cried when they saw the pictures. We absolutely loved them!I would highly recommend you to book Johnny. Looking forward to having my graduation photos taken by him in a few months! read more

Johnny took photos of our small(30 people) ceremony, as well as family photos (20ish people) afterwards. Johnny was extremely thoughtful and helpful throughout the whole process. I am absolutely in love with the photos that Johnny took, it was everything I could imagine and more. Especially since we had A LOT of little ones in our family, he was very patient while working with the kids. He was able to get all the photos that we wanted and was very sweet. Everyone in my family said how amazing and nice he was. I would definitively use Johnny again and will recommend him to anyone who needs photography work done. read more

Found Johnny photography through yelp. He's very prompt at responding through emails. His pricing is fair for the amazing quality and the amount of pictures we received. He's very professional and knows how to make you feel comfortable during the photoshoot. We definitely recommend him. read more

As a person who is naturally awkward in front of the camera, I can't begin to express how thankful I am for Johnny's patient kindness and encouragement in the shoots we did together. His genuine kindness seeps through his smile and his gentle direction. He helps with poses and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He was so patient with me as I would awkwardly get stiff as people walked by, and he would stop and give direction to me when I was at a loss. He really wanted to give me the best photos that he could possibly get for me and went above and beyond to get some really great shots. He's a joy to work with and easily made me laugh and I ended up having an awesome time when all was said and done. An added bonus was the great pictures that he got to me relatively quickly. read more

It was a breeze! I feel uncomfortable taking pictures, specially by someone I don't know. It was different with Johnny. I was extremely comfortable! Everything flows naturally, from my smile to different poses. Smiling on camera is not my thing, Johnny helped me just be me on camera. He has the charisma of a great photographer, one who makes someone extremely comfortable in front of a camera in a very subtle way. Maria R. read more

I have several photographers over the years for our family pictures. I was looking for a new one who was a bit more affordable and had great reviews. I hunted and hunted and found John on Yelp. His mini session price was right on budget and after talking with him and seeing some of his work with editing I knew he would be a great fit for what I wanted. We met with him at Oak Glen for our pictures and had a wonderful time. He was awesome with my two children (3 and 6 years old) and made them feel comfortable right away. So personable! The photo session was easy, fun, and the perfect amount of time. John truly cares about producing the best product he can! I loved his attention to details like having me fix my dress or telling my son to adjust his hand in his pocket. These details matter. I got our pictures back and they were gorgeous with the lightening I envisioned and the editing I really desired. I've already recommended him to some friends. Thank you John and Yelp! read more

Went to Johnny because I needed some headshots taken for acting. I am someone who is super camera shy and I feel really clueless when it comes to posing and facial expressions for the camera and Johnny made me feel super relaxed and comfortable! The photo quality was outstanding. He took the pictures outdoors and got some really nice natural lighting which looked awesome. Highly recommend going to him for whatever your photography needs are. Pricing was really good and affordable! And to top it off I came to him really last minute and he still managed to get the photos done beautifully and on time! Johnny is professional and easy going, gives honest opinions and advice, and makes the process easy and fun! read more

Got band photos done with Johnny C, and i was really impressed.. he turned our ugly mugs into actually looking pretty cool. He's real chill and definitely knew what he was doing, but he wasn't a jerk about it. All we knew is that we needed legit looking pictures to let the world know we exist as a band, and we sat down and he came up with some pretty creative ideas, we all had a little input, and Johnny did his thing. I'll definitely go with Johnny C again when I want legit looking pictures! read more

Johnny was a class act. He understands the technical details of photography really will but is a true creative. He thinks on his feet and moves quickly to create the perfect composition and is able to shepherd everyone (including babies;)...) as needed to execute a winning shot. He knows how to be time efficient and is very respectful. A+ would hire again over closer closer vendors and even pay a premium at that. Cheers. read more

Found Johnny on yelp and glad I did. He did my graduation photos at my school and they turned out great! His prices were reasonable and he's very professional and just a really nice guy. I felt so comfortable with him during my shoot. He payed attention to all the little things like my hair being out of place or my cap being too low. I also really appreciated his creativity and openness to any poses I wanted. Johnny also never rushed me even though we went a tad over my time limit, which I appreciated the most! Thank you Johnny I will cherish my photos for years to come. read more

Awesome experience! I sent several messages out looking for a photographer and Johnny was the most personable and professional. I was very happy to pick him, as he seemed to actually be interested and excited about my project. I had Johnny photograph my dog and let's just say my dog is the most un-photogenic creature out there but he does have some beautiful faces, just when the camera comes out all bets are off. Johnny was unrushed and took the time to have my dogs get to know him and feel comfortable around him. Johnny was also somehow able to work pure magic and capture the beauty of my dog. I am sooo happy with the pleasurable experience and would recommend him to anyone. read more

Where do I start? I came on Yelp for a family photographer since our fourth child was recently born and saw that Johnny had a five-star rating. I sent several quotes to many photographers, but he had the best deal in my opinion for what I would get for my money. He was prompt and communicated professionally. He was easy to talk to and was super friendly. Johnny made our family photo experience so much fun!!! I have NEVER had this much fun taking photos before! I was put in charge of finding a photographer to take our class pictures for my nursing class. I ran into Johnny's pictures on Yelp as I was looking for reviews on another photographer who was recommended, and I'm glad I found him. From day one he was very professional and answered every one of my many questions pretty quickly. He met with me so he could show me some of his work and at that time gave me prices and packages. Fast forward to picture day, he did not fail any of my 41 classmates including myself. Everyone that I saw walking out gave me positive feedback. He made sure we were all happy with the pictures that he took and didn't hesitate to retake some of them to make us happy. He is awesome and I would definitely recommend him to anyone!! read more

I have never left a bad review before but for this one I believe others should know what a stingy and cheap person Johnny is. He took my husband's school graduation picture and we bought the basic package so we can have a hard copy for keepsake. We never received the pictures. Johnny sent out an email to the class saying he will send a follow up email on when we can pick up the pictures for whoever bought them. There was never a follow up email. We sent an email to Johnny, but no reply. We tried contacting the school that my husband graduated from to see if they have it, but due to the pandemic the campus is closed. I finally decided to call Johnny and told him the situation, he of course answered because he didn't recognize my number. He asked me to text him the student name and it'll be ready the following week. He also said on the phone that he can print us another copy but if he did it for the whole class he would not profit. I told him it's just for us and it's only the basic package that we ordered, and I would be willing to drive wherever he is to pick it up. The next week, I texted and called him multiple times, and no answer. He claims to be a photographer and loves to capture special occasions, but if you don't receive the pictures that you bought, he does not care. Once he receives the money, he will ignore your texts and phone calls. He can't spend a few cents to print another copy for us. That's not the way to treat your paid customers, especially during this time with the pandemic. So, do yourself a favor and hire the many photographers out there instead of him. They would care whether or not you receive the pictures that you paid for. read more

Amazing work! We hired Johnny at the last minute (thank goodness he had the time open) for a family reunion. We had to capture the 4 generations immediately so we didn't miss out! John is fabulous! We met John at an event we attended and were really impressed by how professional, friendly and attentive we observed him to be in capturing everything there. Then, as we talked to him we just really liked him. We ended up booking a small family event with him and were thrilled with every part of our experience. Leading up to our event, he responded to our questions very quickly and was very flexible, positive, professional and friendly. At our event, John was very aware of capturing all the elements and special moments that happened. Many of our guests even mentioned how pleasant it was having him there. Finally, the pictures.......they turned out amazing!!! We could not have been any happier with them. My only hesitation in writing this review is that he will become too busy for us to hire again! :) read more

Johnny was amazing! I used him for my wedding. Someone told me that the ring and pictures/video are the most important things so I started my search. I saw he had all great reviews so I emailed him on a Saturday morning and he called me within 30 minutes. He really worked with our tight budget. He was always on time, very professional, and fun! I'm usually not shy but it can be a little awkward to be in front of a camera when everyone is looking at you. Johnny, you are the best at what you do- PROFESSIONALISM, COURTEOUS AND REASONABLE RATES. Searched for a reliable photographer in just a few days for my mom's 90th Bday celebration and found Johnny C. on Yelp, Johnny was kind enough to squeeze me in between his other obligations that evening. Johnny arrived a few minutes early to set up, and stayed to take a group Family Photo, irreplaceable memories. Every photo is as sharp as its original. Not savvy with downloads so he also helped me moved my photos to a Flash Drive. Johnny, couldn't thank you enough for your service.
