Four years later our friends and family still tell us how much they love our wedding photos! One thing that is critical to having great photos that a lot of people don't consider is having a photographer that gets your relationship dynamic and fits well with it. David quickly became like an old friend and through that (plus his awesome photography skills) was able to capture all the best moments of the happiest night of our lives. He had suggestions for great shots but for the most part just let us be natural. Easily the best money we spent on anything wedding-related. Having amazing photos was the most important thing to me. Our experience with William and The Music Concierge was grossly unprofessional and disappointing…read morefrom the beginning to the end. We booked The Music Concierge in October of 2022 (and paid in full) for our wedding in April 2023. We were assigned a DJ named Matt, and were excited because of all the services offered, along with "unlimited phone consultations". We waited for some time to hear from Matt, and didn't think much of it because we had so much time. However, a couple months before our event, we started reaching out to our DJ Matt and never heard anything back - multiple emails and phone calls went unanswered. We finally managed to reach out to William, the owner of the company, who was apparently as mystified as we were and had no idea Matt had not been communicating with us (great oversight!) and informed me that this particular DJ is a singer in a band that was on tour... cool story. William said all the right words and apologies, but we got the feeling that he really couldn't care less. He halfheartedly suggested a competitor and tried to connect us with them, but this suggested person has done 3 weddings in the past (according to the guy's Facebook), so suffice it to say we didn't trust The Music Concierge, William, or anyone he recommended (especially someone so new). This was a WEEK before our wedding date. A. WEEK. OUT. We ended up reaching out to some friends and our wedding coordinator, who managed to find us a very reputable replacement for only a couple bucks more. We booked, had the contract, and paid in the space of 24 hours (and on a Saturday!). The best part of the interaction with William and The Music Concierge was how fast he issued our full refund. I know good companies can make mistakes like this, but we were completely let down by these folks, and didn't feel they really wanted to make it right. Will never use or recommend this company ever again, and if you are in the market for a DJ, I would give some serious second thoughts before booking with The Music Concierge. They put us in a really bad position, and there are many other reputable companies out there.

My husband and I met with Johnny one weekend while we were in Boston for speed-dating style appointments with potential wedding vendors. Johnny was the second of four photographers we were meeting with. After we were done, I told my then fiance, now husband, that I did not want to waste time meeting with other photographers. Johnny was the one. Johnny was great to work with from our initial email contact. Planning a wedding in a city other than the one you live in can be a challenge, but we never had a problem with Johnny. He was flexible on when and where we could meet, which helped tremendously with our tight schedule. This same flexibility and professionalism continued throughout the whole wedding process, all the way through making sure our album arrived and that we were pleased with it. Johnny brought plenty of samples of his work with him to our meeting at Starbucks. As I looked through them, I caught myself getting teary. Image after image captured beautiful emotions. This was something we really wanted for our wedding, without having an in-your-face photographer. With Johnny, we got just that. Our wedding images are stunning. Johnny captured everything big and small during our wedding day, without ever being in the way. We fully trusted Johnny to do what he does best, and couldn't be happier with the end result.

Her roomate found it remarkable that Johnny's photographs captured the emotions and retold the story of the occasion, and yet she did not notice his presence during the wedding. My wife and I were looking for a photographer who could do this and also handle difficult lighting situations: our wedding site was the fifth floor of a social club looking west over the city skyline, and the time was sunset, so there would be a large amount of back lighting. With his experience with concert and art photography, Johnny seemed perfect for the job, and he was. Johnny was professional, focused, and excited about taking great photographs without forcing too many poses. He was completely unobtrusive, yet captured every moment - including some truly special ones that we didn't even realize he was there for - in a way that very naturally brought out all the emotions of our wedding day. He has a great eye both through the camera lens and also for album design. I have recommended him multiple times to friends and would happily do so again.
