I am new to Cork…read moreand returning to driving after a period living abroad for years without a car so I was a bit daunted but Joe helped to put me at ease. I was able to have lessons in the ISM vehicle and then my own and it gave me the confidence I needed to start driving around by myself. The ISM team were very helpful and easy to deal with - I was gifted a voucher from my family to get me back on the road and I'm glad they chose ISM. Redeeming the voucher was so straightforward and they explained the processes really well and really listened to what I was looking for in terms of lesson timing and content - they put me in touch with Joe and I'm so happy with his teaching and guidance. I cannot recommend ISM and Joe Lawton highly enough :)

I attended Carysfort National School myself and I thought it was a wonderful little primary school…read more Back when I went it was a lot smaller and a lot less developed. It is great to see how well the school has being doing and they have added on a new wing, but the school is still small enough. They used to own a lot more of the fields out the back of the school but that has mostly been sold off now which is a shame for current students. The school is mixed, goes from junior infants to sixth class and a uniform is required. The staff are very pleasant and well educated. They cover everything from math to irish to sports to music and art. Its in a handy location. It is by no means a big school with lots of equipment, but they offer a broad education and I really enjoyed my time there.

Thriving Drama, Arts, Music and Sports scenes. In fact, that's all too narrow - in Newpark, you can be involved in a whole plethora of activities/hobbies, and if there isnt a group set up for it already, you could start your own. The best thing about Newpark was that you got out what you put in. All of the teachers were always so supportive, and would bend over backwards to help you. As regards the last comment, all schools have bullying issues, and Newpark has in place several policies for dealing with Bullying. I still go back to Newpark occasionally, mostly due to involvement in the past pupil's Theatre Company (another great facet of Newparks huge community) and I would reccomend Newpark in a heartbeat.

There was a lot of poverty around in those days and the lady teacher would boil a kettle on the fire and supply tea and bread and jam to those who came to school without breakfast. She was a wonderful, kind, lady who I will never forget. That's about it. I was a lousy student and often got the cane (from the other teacher of course).
