Shopping at IKEA with well trained dogs.

I have used John K9 to train both of my Rhodesian Ridgebacks. We did the three week program that insures the behavior of the animal For the life of the animal. John came to the house personally and evaluated my dogs. The 3 weeks not seeing them was tough but well worth it. I now have two off leash ridgebacks that are incredible. They are on point and great in public. As soon as you say the command they are right back to being their silly goofy selves. I have recommended John K9 countless times and will continue to do so. It also helps that ALL of his employees are willing to help and answer any questions along the way. Thank you guys!!

    Always hyped to go track!

This company helped me better my dog Kodak. He is now doing so much better. He is tracking IGP style and is helping me pass requirements with my dog. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

This photo clearly shows my main focus and reason for putting her into bootcamp!

We have used MANY invisible fence products... and we HIGHLY recommend using them…read more We had our invisible fence installed quite a few years ago for our Boston terrier mix, Lu, after a teen was jogging down our street and Lu chased her. She got so scared, she started to cry. No matter how hard we tried, a door was left open and Lu would go after other dogs, bikes, squirrels, and the poor teen that was jogging was the final straw. It immediately worked great! Lu stayed in the yard and trained very easily, thanks to Sam (the trainer that is included when you install). We had to call Sam back once or twice to correct the sting of the shock, but it was included in the training. We called him back when we noticed Lu would risk the shock to chase a squirrel (very irresistible!). The second part is why I am writing such a great review. We added a chihuahua, Mia, to the family almost 2 years ago. She came with MANY more challenges. I had a fully trained 9 lb chihuahua in the past, and was told Mia would be 6-9 lbs. after 2 years, it's apparent she's a toy chihuahua & only weighs 5 lbs. Due to the addition of Mia, we now use many products, including a line around our pool, large disks at the bedroom doors, & small disks at food bowls. If it wasn't for invisible fence, I would have had to re-home Mia! The icing on the cake is my mom's stays are more enjoyable as well. She often comes for multiple days with 3 dogs. All of them are now linked to her house & my mine, too! Here is what we use from invisible fence: -Potty training: Get large disks- Being so small, Mia simply cannot hold her bladder! Her favorite spots were on our new bedroom carpets! We put large disks at the door of each carpeted room. As she approaches, it beeps just as if she was outside and approaching the invisible fence line. So she does not go into the room. If she were to push it, she'd get shocked, but they rarely need to be shocked. The beeping always works to correct the behavior. She now is forced to go to her pee pad. They are expensive, but VERY worth it. If we want her in our room, we take her collar off, just as if she was going on a walk, and put her on the bed. She acts like the floor is lava and will not jump off the bed! She waits to be taken back out of the room when we are ready, then we put her collar back on so she can't come in without us. (Another bonus, we included Lu so she could not go into rooms and lay in beds, where she would leave large wet spots from licking herself & hair in the beds. My son's allergies have improved greatly; he's not allergic to dogs, but slept in the bed where she shedded and the little hairs must've bothered him, as we've now noticed his allergies are much better. Pool line: Get a rock- it holds the electronics and the line comes out & goes around the inside of the pool- Sam was brilliant to come up with this after I casually mentioned that I was afraid Mia would fall in the pool during a training visit. He got into our pool and installed the line! Now Mia will hear beeps as she approaches the pool, and does not go near it. Bonus: Lu also liked to jump in the pool, right as I was ready to leave the house. We'd have to dry her off and put her in a tiled room, making me late to where I was going. The pool line also keeps Lu from jumping in! It was just something we dealt with before, but now we don't have to worry about it & it's nice! Dog food sharing: Get small disks - We leave the food down all day and let them graze. It was obviously fine when we only had Lu, but when we added Mia, she was eating Lu's food & vice versa. Knowing overweight pups is a huge concern for their health, we added the small disks to keep them away from eachother's food! And finally, we added dogs from other homes to our fence/ The icing on the cake - When my mother started to come over with her 3 dogs for long stays, her dogs would smell where Mia used to go on the carpets, even though I used a carpet cleaner and cleaned them well. My mom has invisible fence at her house. I called & Sam came right out & linked our invisible fence with her collars. Now we can have all 5 dogs stay in the yard, out of the carpeted rooms, and away from each other's food. Simply amazing!! My story is so long because it obviously solves huge headaches we all deal with because we love our dogs, but these solutions saved our family from finding Mia a new home, which would have been horrible! We love her so much, but couldn't live with her peeing on our new carpets...& life in general is MUCH easier, too!
