Explornet Satellite Internet installation. After telling the installer I wanted it mounted on the outside wall I came back to find him on the roof. I figured there must be a reason and left him to it. The next day I looked at the installation and found he drilled through my shingles! They drilled two unused holes through the shingles and roof and dabbed them with silicone. I called the manager (Avery) and he just said "okay". I asked is that how they install all of them by drilling through peoples roofs and he said, "well it depends on the installation." I told him that my roof now has holes in it and it will leak and he said, "okay". I then asked "what happened now? and he tells me that "I'll pass it up to the bossman". I asked when he would be doing it and he said he doesn't know. He would not/could not give me a time line on when he would be dealing with it, he did not have any concern or regret just kept saying "okay". This is the worst installation of anything I have ever seen and to make matters worse - they just don't care. Literally, they don't feel one way or another about it - just don't care. Update: I have since had the owner get in touch with me. At first he seemed eager to rectify the problem but after a few emails abruptly told me he sent my emails to Explornet and basically, I'm on my own. I let him know that I would follow up in small claims court and he did not even bother to respond. Explornet contacted me sometime later and is trying to work it out with the dealer - otherwise it'll go to court. Bottom line - you had better be very sure you lay down the ground rules before having an installation. this was a very bad experience for me. read more

I can't believe that he drilled right through all the shingles and the roof! As well as two holes that he drilled and then dabbed a blob of silicone into clearly deciding to move the bracket. The shingle are new and now i have multiple holes in the roof that he haphazardly put silicone over just a few bolt tops, but with the bracket mounted below it is now guaranteed to leak. I had Xplornet installed at my new home. I can't express enough how happy I was with the service. They were on time, neat, efficient, explained options that I can do if I wished to do it on my own for the rest of the install or if I wanted them to do the complete set up. I opted for them to do everything so it was "turn Key" Also, they showed me how to properly maintain the installation and things I need to do for my own safety. They were so professional and they made sure I was aware of everything they were doing so I was never guessing.
