I'm not sure when this went up. I noticed it the other day walking by. Then I heard a piece about it on WBFO. It's another public art mural by the Albright Knox. This one honors John Brent.
John Brent was Buffalo's first African-American architect and a notable civic leader.
He was very active with the Buffalo zoo and designed much of the space here. According to the placard outside the mural he was also Buffalo's first president of the Buffalo branch of the NAACP and later a founding member of what is now the New York State division of human rights.
The man is honored with a mural for a very notable career. The artist is James Cooper III. read more
