Excellent ribeye and root vegetables. Worth the price. Need to work on the uncomfortable bench seats. I'd put Johannes Kök up there with St. Elmo's in Indianapolis, Mo's in Milwaukee, and Alexander's in Peoria. Second visit confirms quality. Excellent food, presentation, and service. Sauces served with steaks are perfect but not needed on the steak. Atmosphere is relaxing after a day of business, loved the music selection. read more

I've eaten here a few times now, and have mixed feelings about the place. I love the environment, as it feels like you're down in a wine cellar. The atmosphere is good and the staff are pleasant. The food itself isn't anything particular, the kitchen use very fine raw ingredients but it doesn't seem to be any thought behind the meny, everything is very "normal" and for the price you pay, I personally think that the food should be perfectly cooked, witch it haven't been (burnt meat, and over salted food for ex.). read more
