Best bakery in Bavaria, right here in Königstein! From my understanding, this is one of the few privately owned / non-chain bakeries left in the local area, and it certainly has that look and feel. The staff is friendly, and that only makes their large selection seem better. Everything - from croissants to pastries to cakes to rolls and loaves of fresh-made bread - is delicious. They have coffee too.
It may be out of the way if you're not from the local area, but if you are taking the scenic route to A9 or just passing by on B85, it is worth taking a short break to stop in here. Oh yea, and the prices are awesome as well, but bring cash or stop at the nearby ATM because I'm not sure they take cards. read more
