I have a pretty "fearful" cat, but she's managed to win him over and goes out of her way to find him and spend some time with him. She also used to take care of my parents' elderly cat from time to time, and would get down on the floor to play with this tiny little old cat. It was the cutest thing and showed me how much she cares for animals. I know my cat is in good hands while I'm gone.

I've been working with them for several months, but today Julie went above and beyond. Loki (Shepherd) had recently had a foot wound with some stitches and was in a cone. Julie found that he had gotten out of his cone and demolished it and had been licking at it. They called me and let me know and even stayed with the dogs as I sped home. I wouldn't use anyone else. They really do care and treat your animals like your own.

She gets nervous when people come into the home and I'm not there which makes pet sitting a challenge - so much so that she was fired as a client by the service I used in Chicago. Enter Newman's. Not only are both sitters, Emma and Christine, lovely people, they handled Edna in stride. They are awesome about sending texts after every visit and give me updates and details so it never feels like they're just checking a box. Christine has been our go-to and she's just awesome...noticing things like new food bowls and finding nice things to say about my salty Edna. I always look forward to her texts when I'm away. The owner, Jena responds to requests immediately (even when she's on vacation) and never has a problem with last-minute schedule changes.
