She was also very accommodating despite the Covid-19 pandemic and was willing to give me the virtual tour option for free due to it. This helped get my condo rented in only two days of going up. My only major issue is that I felt that I had to be really diligent in double-checking everything in the contract. I'm sure that gets everyone though. In any case, she was very quick in responding and helped me out tremendously, even despite my unusual circumstances. I would definitely recommend.

Ok, so this will be my first in a series of "Adventures in First Time Home Owning" Yelp reviews,…read moreand there couldn't be a better way to begin then with Mary Jane Caro. I had been looking around for a long time, just ooging places online, when suddenly I saw a spot that weirdly fit everything I was looking for, and shit got real. Fast. I am not really a fully formed adult despite my age so I didn't really know what to do next. Like at all. (I have other skills, whatever.) Fortunately, a gal I had known and liked in high school and kept in touch with enough to be friends on Facebook came to mind (enter, Mary Jane Caro. Imagine fanfare.) And let's be clear, she came to mind because she posts about her job as a real estate agent a lot, and in a way that I always found super endearing. Anyone who knows her can tell she loves what she does, she's excited about it, she loves helping find a perfect fit between buyer and seller. So anyway, I messaged her, and despite the fact that I was way out of her area (buying up North, where things are different, as you shall see in future reviews from this at-times harrowing series, oh gentle reader) and despite the fact that she's a busy professional lady with a young kiddo, she answered a zillion questions from me via FB messenger and email, she had amazing advice, helped me find the info I needed and was generally awesome and helpful and knowledgeable and calming. Perhaps most importantly calming. Suffice it to say, I would recommend anyone to Mary Jane as a first stop in the glorious rollercoaster adulting nightmare life changing delight that is buying property in Montreal. She will take care of you and be honest and fair and not greedy and you will probably find your dream spot. I wish it for you!

My property was never been sold after many months with two times contract with the Amy's Team. Since they didn't sell the property, I asked them at least posting it for rent and I paid for the commission. There were mistakes on my renting file and after I complained, there were no proper respond. Since they have already had their commission no help or advice was given to fix the issues that I have had with my tenant at the court. In my opinion, Ms. Amy Assad might be an experienced agent herself, but the problem is that she gives the cases to her agents with low experience and professions. Truly, I am absolutely unhappy and dissatisfy for so many reasons in regard on selling and then renting of my properties by the Amy's team.

Horrible sale process.. it seems like they have no idea what they are doing.. if I were foreign…read morebuyer or seller or even local I would be very careful with working with them as they cost us money in legal fees, money to be lost from condo rental, condo fees, and mortgage costs. Amy has her minion agents running around without any idea what they are doing.. After speaking to her about it, she says you know my agent's first language is Spanish so her English is not very good. Excuse me but we have hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake - her agents better be able to speak good English.. I have to say, that the entire situation/transaction has been nothing but stress and disappointment to no end. I would like to explain that when Catalina sent us the documents to sign, she attached a note saying that the documents were for the change to August 4. She only clarified last Monday (20 days after signing) that the buyers had never signed the document agreeing for the date. With regards to communication, Amy and Catalina was absolutely not clear during the negotiation process (we were never advised that there was a deadline and again we were never told that the date change had not been signed - as a matter of fact we didn't hear from Catalina again until we called her regarding the documents that we were getting ready to send to the notary) We feel that we were misled and the actions of the agents involved was completely unprofessional and unethical. If we had known that August 4 was not agreed on - we would not have signed the documents and would have moved jon from negotiations. We feel that the actionsj were completely unethical and to that, we nhave endured much stress financially and emotionally.
