After I moving into my townhouse I was absolutely devastated to find out my entertainment center, master bedroom furniture set (including my mattress), to only name a few items, had been stolen. The day I moved was very chaotic and I trusted the moving crew implicitly, as my friend arranged the move. These items were not only of sentimental value, but expensive to replace. I had renters insurance through Alex/State Farm, but I had no idea how I would ever replace them as I did not believe renters insurance would do me much good. I did; however, contact Alex and he encouraged me to file a claim. I did not think it would be to my advantage to move forward because of the depreciation involved, but Alex encouraged me to file and walked me through each step of the process. I still was not convinced, but as Alex always does, he followed-up and asked if I had filed my claim. Once again, he advised me to move forward with the process and answered a few questions I had. Finally convinced, I filed and a State Farm agent was assigned to my claim. She too was simply amazing. Thankfully I had some receipts, so she walked me through the process of placing a value on everything that was stolen. Much to my surprise and great blessing, State Farm gave me a very generous settlement! I was stunned! Renters Insurance is not a joke at least not through State Farm. Thanks to Alex and the State Farm agent, I no longer feel like a victim and was able to replace many items. This has alleviated so much stress and I cannot thank Alex enough!! I have been a customer for many years and I am not going anywhere! I have told many people my story, including my Landlord, as I want people to understand that you don't have to be a victim if you have an outstanding agent who represents an outstanding company! Inevitably I messed up and double paid insurance on a rental I have insured through another company and missed my Farm B payment. Usually I do pay it in its entirety but dealing with the credit card problem I paid 2 months with the intent that once there wasn't a threat to my accounts,I would pay off the year. I had a great re-pore with the previous agent, in fact I missed my payment about 8 years back and that agent called to let me know, their service is not like this like anymore. That personalized care is why I used to recommend them to my clients. So while I'm waiting to here what Farm B will and stressing out since I hate change, I'll be calling other companies to see how they would handle this. If I had not been late there wouldn't be an issue,this is extremely serendipitous for them now they have a great excuse to cut my coverage or not even insure me after so many years of payments and no claims.. The bright side I will now learn more about homeowners insurance and this is good fodder for an article.

Allstate automatically added a stranger to our auto insurance simply because this stranger happened to live at one of our old addresses when they received their licence. This is despite the fact that we updated our address with Allstate. The stranger was on our auto insurance for four months before we saw the problem. The Operations Manager, Ashley Head, was only able to have a refund approved for one month. That means we are stuck with paying for someone else's car insurance for three months, a total of $1,485 (approximately $500/month). For some reason this office has been completely incapable of getting anything approved by Allstate, EVEN IF THEIR CLIENTS HAVE WRONGFULLY BEEN BILLED FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S INSURANCE. Apparently, you are in such good hands with Allstate that they will get someone else to pay your bill if they want.

Just run away from these people. If you care for your…read moreloved ones, do not put them in the hands of this group. I was supposed to be a new customer and my previous insurance company failed to provide some needed documentation. So what did they do? Nothing! They just cancelled without ever giving me a courtesy call to work out an easily fixable situation. They ruined my perfect insurance record and now I have a gap in my insurance coverage that is going to impact my future rates with any other insurer. Not only that but I've been driving around without insurance for two months! You do not want this type of customer care. A simple call or email could have fixed this easily. Wouldn't you have called if you cared to retain someones business? Worst of all they say they made multiple attempts to contact me, but that is a outright lie. So do you want anyone who is deceitful representing you and your loved ones?
