I was very reluctant having surgery at my age of 69, but EKG and labs were ok. He assured me at my age I would be fine. I had the surgery which lasted less than 2 hours and went home with no issues. There was minimal pain and the results were awesome as well as having my breasts the same size again!! The doctor and staff were incredible! They were so extremely nice, thoughtful, and professional. I just can't say enough good things about them. Bottom line don't ever let your age be the deciding factor over health issues.

This is my review on my breast reduction and lift…read more I had a tram flap after loosing my left breast to breast cancer 30 years ago, a team flap is where they take your extra tummy, muscle, veins and nerves and transfer it to where your breast was. I also had an implant put in my right breast to balance it out. This is a very difficult procedure, a lot of pain and down time. It was traumatic at the time after going through a mastectomy, chemo and then the reconstruction/tram flap...all of this said because after 30 years at the age of 67, my implant had move upwards toward my collarbone, it was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. My left breast, the tram flap had grown to a DDD, after the 1st surgery both were a full B, at 5'1 and small boned I looked and felt miserable, uncomfortable and my self esteem had hit rock bottom. I made the very best choice ever by going to see Dr Dascombe at The Institute For Plastic Surgery. After 2 consultations he had explained everything that would take place in very basic terms. He knew and could relate to how I felt about myself, he has been in practice for almost 30 years. He will take all the time you need to answer your questions. He and is staff are absolutely the BEST!! Once I decided to have the reduction and lift I was sent home with basically the same directions that Dr Dascombe and the nurses had explained to me in office. I was given all the prescriptions ahead of time so I would be completely ready for my recovery. Now, let's talk about the procedure. I had mine on a Monday, I was met by his incredible nurses, made to feel very comfortable and taken care of. Soon after arriving I met the . The procedure was around 2 hours, after recovery I was sent home. I took pain pills only Monday evening and Tuesday. The pain was very minimal. You don't do any heavy lifting for 4 weeks, that is anything over 5 lbs. Yes, you have some soreness and tenderness but that's it! I had a great recovery!! And you are given numbers of the doctors and nurse if you need anything once you get home. Dr Dascombe called on Tuesday to checkup on me. If you want to look better in your clothes, feel better about yourself, rebuild your self esteem and just feel better.. please don't hesitate to call Dr Dascombe's office. I hope this doesn't sound vain and that I only had this procedure to look better...no...I mainly did it to feel better!!! And I Couldn't Be Happier!!!

Hand surgery first , he missed a small spot on my palm that was clearly in need of surgery and needed to be removed. So, after months of recovery, only to note I needed it again because he carelessly missed it. I still have not had the second. It is getting worse. Being understanding, I let it go and needed eye lift surgery. He did it and I now look totally different than ever before and I have a spot on my left eyelid. Looks like a brown spot. Don't do eyelid surgery! Foolishly, I allowed him to do perform another surgery, elbow surgery, to remove the saging skin. This was done wrong and he had to do it twice! He did do it at no charge, however,This took 2 surgeries and two recoveries!!! Believe it or not, I had him do a neck lift too. This needed to be done twice also and still is not right and saging. Most importantly this service provider requires a fee for a consultation. The only one in the area I found to do so in fact. I'm an Admin for healthcare and In my profession that means something. I appreciate that. The staff is likely the most courteous I've met in Savannah so far. Phone calls are returned in a timely manner. My consult phone call was immediately answered and an appt was available within two weeks. Right away this impressed me. My surgeon took the time to answer my questions and present all Options available for my desired outcome. I will also note this was the first and only of my 5 consults that my surgeon offered options that had never been considered and that made the most sense even financially. Turns out this was covered by my medical insurance after all. I've since had surgery and am recovering. The level Of care described above continues. There's also a separate check in for postop appointments which you also will greatly appreciate. Investing in yourself is a personal decision and so far I only regret not doing this sooner.
