Mr. Nicols is the real deal. He did a very thorough reading for me and his insights were spot on. He read my palms and was very knowledgeable about the meanings of different markings. He talked about many interesting things. He allowed me to ask specific questions, and he read cards for the answers. Very insightful. Really helpful information 10/10 recommend read more

Joe's skills are amazing! He bonds with each person in seconds by proving the listener with details about their health, personality, values and more. He has a gift of delivering information in as sensitive manner that also leaves room for flexibility in the listener's choices and interpretations. The more specific questions are systematically answered providing details about when to choose a path and when to pass on a path of actin. I have been working with his advice for more than 20 years and highly recommend him to anyone interested in self-improvement. read more

Joe is amazing! He was very warm and insightful. He was incredibly accurate about my past, not just my childhood but my recent past. I was very nervous and apprehensive about what lies ahead for me but Joe put me at ease. I definitely recommend him. 10/10! read more

I've gotten readings from Joe since the earl 1980's. Saw him first in Austin and have had phone readings since. Despite the fact that he said things I didn't want to hear, he has been spot on every time. Highly recommended you experience Joe read more

I have been going to Joe Nichols for several years now and have recommended him to friends who also had great experiences. He is easy to talk to while being upfront with you. He holds nothing back which I appreciate. He has helped me through some difficult issues and challenges. As a metaphysician myself, I can say he is one of the best. I highly recommend him if dealing with any grief, or pain on the emotional, mental, or physical levels. You will leave with peace of mind. read more

I have been a client of Joe for about 20 years now, the past 15 years. I have called him by phone because I live in California... I've seen Joe Nichols twice for guidance. He's undoubtedly talented. I left both times feeling negative about the experience though. He's not a particularly considerate person during a reading. read more

I saw on his website that Joe offers psychic development sessions. The way the services were listed on the website had me thinking that I could schedule a 30 minute psychic development session. Once I arrived, he told me that I would have to get a longer session to receive that offering. I decided to get a regular reading from him instead. There were a few things that he told me that rang true, something that surprised me is that he said he could sense that I was having gastro-intestinal issues. Other things that he said I feel we're not correct but in general, the information that I received was vague and I did not leave with new insights or things to work on. I love working with psychics and have many friends with gifts and I myself am very intuitive. Due to his reputation, I thought that I would would leave with something very useful. I am not saying that Joe does not have gifts but I thought the session was expensive for what it was, especially because I am currently a student. read more

I have used Joe Nicols for over 18 years. He is right 90% of the time, including health questions--critical health questions that include cancer--career questions, including the intentions of bosses and colleagues. Joe has insight and wisdom, beyond other psychics I've used and in my life, I have needed that insight. To run my life, I have needed the insight as to what I am dealing with, beyond the obvious. What I am able to see is less what has been needed. Sometimes I've used other psychics and a few have other gifts. But Joe is an educated person with a deep understanding of our world. If he is sometimes direct, it is to help me understand and step up to what is required. Strongly recommend Joe Nicols for professional and personal advice. read more

For over three years now, I have been consulting with Joe, and I'm as happy now as when I first wrote my review. I'm temporarily exiled from ATX in the psychotic cesspool that is Florida, and I have had 3 phone consults in the year I have been here. If you are worried about losing anything in the experience, I can assure you - you don't! I come away feeling just as helped and relieved as I did the times I met with Joe in person. He will still record your session, and Holly his office manager will mail it to you for a $5 (if you so choose). Well worth it, because it does help to revisit what all you discussed. If you want your palms read, take a snapshot of your hands prior and email them to Holly. Easy as can be. So while, I do look forward to the day I can meet with Joe in person again, I don't have be stranded from his insight and advise in the meantime. That's a comfort. read more

While I do believe that Joe has studied palmistry and psychic development, I do not think he has the "gift." I've had a reading with a true clairvoyant in Australia and this meeting with Joe didn't even come close. I also felt like he was rushing through everything and I never felt at ease or at home which is how one should feel. I have something huge going on in my life right now yet he failed to see this and he described my personality as very "aggressive" and "assertive" and everyone, including me, knows this to be false. I'm really disappointed because I really wanted to be a believer but I've seen the real thing and he's not it although he means well. read more

Please dont waste your money on a life reading. I went with an open mind and heart. and came out in tears. His style of reading is way too brash and he says his style is direct but in my opinion its criticizing. He said I was lazy so to speak and more than half of the reading was listening to his stories from his life... He does no channeling work as I got no reference from spirits but only his own personal opinion. IF your expecting encouragement and uplifting advice you wont get it with your reading. read more

I just had my first reading with Joe Nicols, and thought he was great. I think his good reputation around town is well deserved. He nailed my personality, family, insecurities and strengths, and spent a lot of time talking to me about career stuff, because I had a bunch of questions about that. He's very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. Very sensible. And I got a CD at the end of the session with the whole thing recorded. Can't wait to listen to it all again. UPDATE: Well, my second reading from Joe Nicols wasn't as helpful. I'm bumping my rating down to 3 stars. He got a bunch of things about me and my life flat-out wrong, and seemed much more hurried and distracted than he had during my first reading. Maybe that's why his reading was so off this time? I don't know. read more

Joe has career advice down - in fact, he helped me choose my profession. But love advice - not so good. According to him I should have definitely been married several times, since I started seeing him. I have seen him several times and each time, love is right around the corner. It wasn't ! But the experience is very interesting and I would say probably worth your money at least for the thought provocation, possibly some enlightenment and entertainment. The audio tapes are a big plus - you keep them and can listen to them years later - that's a gas - see what happened, what was true and not. read more

I had a visit with Joe the past week and thought I'd leave a review for many of you. First, I want to post that I'm neither a believer nor non-believer. I care not to dig that deep in and ask myself that question. I went just for the pure excitement and entertainment of someone in his profession. I didn't have any questions, just wanted a go at the fella and see what he's about. We started with a palm reading. He also goes into the way you look and speaks a bit about that. A couple mentions about my past life (lives actually) was very interesting. There's a lot of different ways to describe someone's personality but the two traits he emphasized were pretty good. Next we went into card reading regarding 3 general areas of my life: 1. career, 2. family, 3. love. Going to skip all the details but some of his readings were pretty good. Now let's bash the good fellow a bit..... Someone mentioned that he asks a lot of questions. Yeah, he asked a few but not enough to bother me. What did though was how he uses your answers to make a reading later on. If you're a dope and one of the crazies on here, then you are sure to go, "Oh my god, how did he know?!" Listening to the CD (awesome add!) again helped me focus in on a few things he mentioned. I gave it a bit of a thought. Overall, I paid $95 for a 45m session. It went a bit over. This was a personal treat to myself as I've been busy working as a slave for corporate. I would not recommend anyone to go to him because your life is helpless. He's a winner in my book if you have some 'play moola' and want to be ENTERTAINED. Planning on visiting another well known reader here on Yelp but I'll have to give up a few lapdances. Maybe next month? read more

Joe continues to be there when I feel stuck. Living in S.C. now & needed some advice on a career move. This was my first phone consultation. Must say that I felt much more at ease after talking with him about my options and getting his take on where the different paths would likely lead. read more

I'm another believer in Joe's unique gift. I had a very bad experience at another palmist/brujo earlier this week who asked for $900 to perform a spiritual cleansing. Needless to stay I didn't pay, but the bad premonitions this first palmist made left me unsettled. I read about Joe and decided to pay him a visit. I'm impressed by this accuracy, the ease with which he speaks and the variety of techniques he uses to perform the reading. I very highly recommend him. read more

I've seen Joe for readings, occasionally, for about 20 years. He is phenomenal. From the first reading, which was astonishingly accurate and predictive, though he knew nothing about me, to the reading where he predicted that my dying grandmother would not die (he was right), he has proven to be phenomenally accurate. I recommend him whole-heartedly to anyone. read more

If you go in with an open mind and heart, Joe Nicols will blow you away with his talents. I agree that it's kind of like a counseling/psychic session. He will disclose that he isn't a psychologist or counselor or any of the like, but he is a very educated man and incorporates theory into his readings, along with palmistry, tarot, and some astrology. He's the real deal and the cd recording he gives you of the session are invaluable. You must listen to it again, you will discover things you probably missed during the session. read more

I don't want to review here as I haven't gone to Joe for a reading, palm reading that is and I'm still on the fence about it. I had gone to a "seminar" which was a hodgepodge of tired old positive thinking "straight out of the book" or rather someone else's book mode of teaching. It was supposed to be about financial success or ramping up your mindset. Problem is that with people who don't believe in themselves all the yay yay's are not going to help no matter how many mantras you repeat. OK, he then went into Feng Shui, Mistake! He knows nothing about it and just talked some nonsense in a very general way that was a total waste of time. We played a really stupid game with fake money where we had to guess which bill was the larger one from closed palms. We did some fake-it-till-you-make-it psychic readings of one another, PUH-LEASE. If he billed his seminar correctly it would have read: HOW TO THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY in one easy session. The one thing that piqued my interest was his card reading. Each participant picked a card and he analyzed from that card what we needed to overcome or deal with to be successful. He was right about that on mine. read more

I think this guy is a complete charlatan. I had a pretty awful experience with him. Id say only about 10% of his "psychic observations" were correct. And they were things that anyone could guess about me or things that basically apply to almost everyone. He was way off the mark on most things but he did hit on one issue (again something that could apply to a lot of people...BUT also something I happen to be a very sensitive about for various reasons) .....and yet he couldnt pick up on the fact I was very emotional about the issue and he proceeded to berate me and yell at me until I was in tears. (basically he has the sensitivity of a rock) Anyone with a heart would have backed the hell down but he didnt. He kept saying that "he was being told to speak harshly to me" (seriously, who the F@#% does that??) I found the whole experience highly unpleasant and not helpful in the least. The guy is an insensitive jerk. I agree with Wendy G.'s assessment. He's obnoxious, mean...and I dont think he's psychic at all. read more

ow, but in the late 80s and early 90s, I went to see Joe. he was incredibly accurate while remaining kind. His insight was amazing.

i just listened to a reading he gave me two years ago and his advice still rings true. he is a straight shooter (which I like) described me and my then boyfriend to a T and was very helpful discussing career options and whatnot. highly recommended. he packs a lot of information into a session. i had my session over the phone after scanning my palms, not in person, and it was still bang on. very cool read more

I've been seeing Joe since 1986 (initially recommended by a friend) every few years it seems whenever I run up on a stump in my life. I'm not a ESP/Psychic junkie - I am actually quite skeptical of things I don't fully understand or talents I sure don't possess. I've found Joe to be the real deal - when the dust of time settles - maybe 85% accurate I guess. He is very straight forward, and will not pull any punches to tell you what he "sees' or "feels", and actually might offend a more guarded person. I just hope he doesn't retire anytime soon, because whenever I need to know what's over the next hill in life, and need some accurate advice in scaling it, I'll be back. read more

Joe is a gifted spirit who has guided me for many years. He is truthful, honest and forthright with the messages that he receives while involved with a reading. I had a reading with Joe 7 years ago and amazingly so, what he predicted came to fruition. I believe we all have psychic abilities, we just need to tap into them. Definately was an interesting experience! I am interested in taking one of his workshops. read more

I had my first reading with Joe and do have to say that he does the palmreading with speed and accuracy. I thought this was to be a card reading and he saves this till the last five mins of the reading (at the fair) and will answer one question in which he ask me first to answer my own question because I am intutitive, and also said he did not know what I was doing there because I am intutitive, in which I am, however we all like to get readings right. I found his demeanor and personality to be at times brass and telling a woman that does not like male chavanist that she in her last life was a male warrior pig of a man , treating woman badly just came across as fooie to me. I have had my palm read several times in my lifetime without this being said. He talks very fast and ask questions in which I had to tell him that he was going to read for my husband next and I did not want to furnish him with information. I think you have to connect with a psychic on a soul level to achive a good connection and receive information needed for your journey called life. This was what I would call entertainment with a twist. read more

I made a Yelp account ONLY so that I could write this review because I have received so much from Joe as both a client (for readings) and as a student (to enhance my intuitive abilities). I will try to make this concise and thorough. I stumbled across Joe, after only a couple of previous experiences with intuitives that were not very impressive, through Yelp. I had searched all sorts of "official" directories to find the best psychics but they were very expensive and none of them resonated with me. One afternoon, I was really looking for guidance and randomly, spontaneously looked for psychics on my Yelp app (I was parked and just killing time). When I came across Joe's listing I just felt like it was right. He happened to be very close to where I was waiting and when I called he said he had an opening. I was very impressed by how humble and professional his office was, and when I met him, I knew he was just a "regular joe." No gimmicks, no weird stuff, and nothing that aroused the usual skepticism with which I approach these situations. He is a professional. He is very honest and very dedicated to serving you and a higher good (you can call it God or whatever you'd like... basically he works with light and love). He has multiple abilities he employs and all alf them contributed to an extremely accurate reading! With card-reading, palm-reading, and an analysis of all the things I had worn that day, he recounted things that were impossible for him to know! And, he efficiently worked through the questions I had. I left with exactly what I had been looking for... and all of it is on a CD! He is incredible and inspiring. Since the first reading, I have seen him one other time and also participated in two of his workshops for my own psychic development. Those have been fantastic. He is not in it for the money, he is in it because he enjoys sharing a gift which can (and does) help many people. His singleness of purpose and commitment is very real, and they make me immensely grateful to have received a reading from him and also to have had the chance to study under him. Another thing: his prices are very reasonable compared to many others, and its clear that money is not his concern. He doesn't hold back at all, no matter how much time you have with him. He will give everything he can. He says he doesn't charge for his gift, but for his time (rightly so). I really recommend Joe Nicols. read more

I've attended two of Joe's Psychic Development sessions and highly recommend it to anyone remotely interested in psychic ability. Do not go expecting a boring lecture. These are highly interactive sessions where you will "read" at least three other participants. The sessions begin with one or two general readings of your partner. Love, vehicle, house, family, spirit guides, etc. The final readings are of a more specific pre-determined topic such as financial issues, finding your true love, speaking to the deceased. I took the latter and "saw" many of my relatives true to form as well as those of my partner. You will be allowed time to discuss your viewings with each partner to determine hits or misses as well as discuss with Joe your findings. The session moves quickly and you'll be wishing for more time at the end. You will leave feeling relaxed, maybe even tired, from the meditative state and energy expended but the experience is truly rewarding and enlightening. read more

I highly recommend Joe Nicols as a psychic, palmist, and card reader (cartomancer). He is also a fine teacher. He is straight to the point and "calls it as he sees it". He gives you an honest, but positive perspective on the subjects he is asked to investigate for you. If you want a special treat, I would suggest you make an appointment for a "life reading". It is very comprehensive and sets up a wonderful foundation from which to explore other aspects of your life down the line. Joe brings a grounded and insightful life experience to his readings. I had a consultation from Joe and he brought to light some things that I was suppressing. His matter of fact but compassionate way of delivering the message way was just what I needed. My best friend died suddenly in February. I went to see Joe out of grief and desperation. I didn't really believe in psychics or mediums but I wanted to some how make sure my friend was ok. Joe is very professional and has a humble office. He told me things about my friend who was "on the other side" that comforted me. It was like my friend was right there in the room with us. He also brought up things about relatives that I had lost years ago. It was a wonderful experience and I walked away feeling relieved. A huge burden was lifted off of my shoulders. Had my first reading with Joe today and was completely amazed. He was very kind and everything he said was dead on. I didnt tell him what I was looking for when I made the appointment. If you had a reading with him at a psychic fair and paid with a credit card, check your account online because the girl processing his payments may have stolen your account information to make Paypal purchases online. I think that he has talent. However, he should be able to use his "intuitive abilities" to get a new girl to process his payments. I met Joe at a psychic fair in Austin, Texas- one of the ones that they do at the Marchesa Hall. The way that he sets up is that if you want a reading, then you have to leave your CC information to get in line, or pay in cash in advance. If you pay with credit card, instead of having one of those convenient paypal card swipe things that smart people at fairs have, his agent writes down all your credit card information on a sheet of paper! Along with your address and all other information to be able to make charges on your card. Well the blonde lady with glasses that he has signing people up for him, while he was doing readings, writes down your credit card number, along with name and address. She stole my credit card information and made unauthorized charges on Paypal! How do I know this? Because I saw a series of Paypal transactions, that were not from my Paypal account, on my bank account ledger, recently, from a place I didn't recognize or shop at. Then, I researched that same type of Paypal transaction and found that they had started 2 days after I had given her my account information at the fair. The only way that someone could use my card, without possession of my card is if they have all the information that this stupid bitch collected (address, code on the back, full card number, etc.) I trusted these people, and to do this at a metaphysical fair, where you are supposed to be "helping people"???? Despicable! He is not "cheap" and then for his "agent" to steal people's hard working money to buy trash on the internet! If you are reading this bitch, you will pay spiritually for what you've done! I curse you! I will never work with Joe again! To hell with these people! 1 star! The thieving rat you have working for you, Joe, really hurt you! read more
