We were both extremely impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. The meatballs in particular blew away what I was used to at IKEA with the ligonberry jam being the perfect accompaniment. Luna was treated to a water bowl and we were treated to filtered still AND sparkling water on tap for free. I've never been somewhere with free sparkling water never mind as much as you can drink. We were somewhat puzzled by the fact that, if you required a gluten free tea you had to have lactose free too which seemed strangely rigid and punative (and totally unnecessary) as all the items are prepared on site by skilled people. Our two people who required the gluten free option had to request cream for their scones and in their merangues (strange when the merangues served to the rest of us were gluten free anyway). We also felt that the surcharge for gluten free of £2.50 was a kick in the teeth for people who already have less dietary options and are, after all, limited by a medical condition. Service was variable with some delays and unanswered requests although I have to make it clear that one of our servers, Alberto, made up for the failings of some colleagues by demonstrating consistantly excellent customer service and a very pleasant demeanor, he made our visit so much better!
