Jobcentre plus is a very clean and welcoming place. A five minute walk from town, the staff are helpful and always willing you on to find work. They have four machines which list all the jobs available on the island and the staff are more than happy to help should you need it. The jobcentre is clean and well lit and has a lot of information leaflets on all the topics you could needs. With three phones available where you can phone the jobcentre on the mainland to apply for the dole or to ask a query. They eliminate the stigma of signing on and help in everyway they can to get you work. read more

Just called the number on my letter and it was out of date and I was given another number. They gave me the direct number so I could explain I can't get to my appointment because of the snow. Guess what? That number no longer exists. Tried the internet for a direct number. Amazingly that number doesn't exist either. So I cannot contact the person I am supposed to meet with. Shocking that so much information is incorrect. read more
