been 5 days now not a peep of a response from Nelson or his office. Some things never change too busy there to give good client relations read more

I spoke with Jonathan and retained his services prior to reading reviews. Hopefully, others don't make the same mistake. While the attorney seemed competent and professional, his receptionist does not share in that. Unfortunately, the attorney is more concerned with his receptionist getting her feelings hurt (and misrepresenting what a client says to her) than caring about the client. Now that I've read thru the reviews, I can see why those people feel that way. If you have time to waste, maybe this place would be a good fit for you. If you need time sensitive assistance, I recommend you steer clear. ***Answer to attorney's response: As I told you in the email I sent you, that is not what happened. Again I will say, you are more concerned with your receptionist getting her feelings hurt (and misrepresenting what a client says to her) than caring about the client. Your response further proves my point. read more

To anyone considering this law firm, my advice would be... DON'T. Unless you're looking for ZERO guidance, ZERO communication and ZERO results. read more

I needed a Divorce Attorney and was referred to this firm by a NV Atty. I had an initial free consultation with what I would assume is a "junior" assoc Atty... after being told Atty Nelson was N/A... from that point forward my case has been handled by a disorganized and incompetent paralegal. It has been almost 4 months and they have yet to even file my papers... they do not communicate among themselves much less me. Nor respond in a timely fashion to any emails, etc. They have lost documents, and forgotten impt info... I DO NOT recommend this firm! read more

Spoke with Johnathan today concerning a potential bankruptcy. Johnathan's explanation of the process is very comforting. Should I ever need legal advice or services I will ONLY use this Law Firm!!! I give this business a five star rating because of their professionalism and personality. read more

No contact unless I sent them an email, and the response was generally that they would put the items in my file. After a couple of months of this, I did fire them. Local definitely does not mean better or that they care. read more

I dealt primarily with Pahrump location but have had calls from offices in Las Vegas too. This review is for my experiences with their location in pahrump. I wouldn't recommend them. Jonathan was amazing... when you actually get to speak with him. He gets both stars, for whatever they're worth, in this review. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and helped me feel at ease when I first consulted with him before proceeding with my divorce. The office though gets no stars or praises whatsoever. The secretaries, while friendly, were not knowledgeable, they are not responsive, one secretary (I don't remember her name) gave me wrong information. They were not communicative at all. I never received updates regarding my divorce status. Anything I needed or wanted to know, I always had to reach out. I didn't even know my divorce finalized until a couple months later, when I called for an update. I never received my divorce papers until Jonathan told me he would personally email it to me. One staff, I think his name is Gary(?), was really unprofessional, at least with my experience with me. He was handling my case and the most difficult to get a hold of. When I did get a hold of him, I never understood what he was talking about. Never answers my questions properly. I am still stuck with trying to file a QDRO form to my workplace so my ex husband can get his 50% off my 401k per the divorce decree, but no one has responded since last week. I've decided to just try and consult another attorney's office for it since I have no idea what to do. TLDR: I do not recommend JK Nelson. read more

Very expensive!! For the service rendered he's way overpriced. Doesn't answer calls or emails timely. Found Mr. Nelson to not always be honest & definitely lacks integrity. My case was drug out over months & thousands of dollars. He lacks any sympathy. Elder & family law is not his forte whatsoever. There's not enough space to write all my complaints here so, let me end by saying save your money & your emotions by hiring another firm. Look for one that has competent office staff & really professional attorneys. JK Nelson is totally lacking. read more

I strongly recommend this firm. My son received a speeding ticket and after reviewing a few firms, we hired JK Nelson Law to represent him. Not only were they able to negotiate a lower penalty, their staff continued to follow up with us to make sure my son completed his drivers course and then let us know that the final verdict was complete and we we done. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff with exceptional service, and saved him a lot on money on insurance by reducing the violation to no points. Extremely great value for the money. read more

The measure of a good attorney is not the fact that he does his job, but that he does his job well and his staff reflects his standard ! It's also that he is prompt and keeps you informed of the progress as things progress and is on top of his game! Jonathan is all of these things! Not only are we glad that we filed with him but we are grateful of the outcome and ready to start our lives off fresh! Thank you JK Nelson Law & staff Tim and Karen Baer read more

Mr. Nelson, is excellent at what he does and is always a pleasure to work with. He is competent, knowledgable, and professional. He talks to you calmly, and like an equal as well. He is always honest and is quite affordable considering the high quality of his work. I will continue doing business with Mr. Nelson as the need arises. read more

I would highly recommend Jonathan Nelson as an attorney. Not only did he successfully represent me and my family, his calm and empathetic demeanor offered emotional succor to myself and those I care about most during our difficult time. He was always available to speak to us to discuss our case and answer our questions quickly, and always made me feel like my case was important to him. Not only is Jonathan amazing, so is his staff, their customer service exceeds expectations. Great service & great work, will use again for all legal matters, and continue to recommend JK Nelson to all my family and friends as a great attorney. read more

I gave this office a lot of grief... It was not their fault at all, it was my elderly father's estranged wife and her attorney that dragged this quicky Las Vegas divorce out for almost a year. They put up with my rants and my daily text messages and my constant phone messages. The staff was always polite, even when I was at times irate and demanding! The opposing attorney was possibly the only other attorney in this small town....Defend yourself rather than choosing him.. Zero people skills...Mr Nelson was listed as a recommended attorney on my husbands pre paid plan through our workplace ( a law enforcement agency in California (where we live)...Even though we didn't qualify to use this office because my Father was not a member, we choose him anyway. He was very personable and had good suggestions as to what to do after the wife left and took off with the savings...leaving my father 50,000 in debt. We won the war but lost the battle....Karma will decide her fate. read more

On March of this year 2018. I was speeding in a small town called Tonopah. I got a ticket and to avoid any points in my record I decided to go to a lawyer to handle this situation. It was 150 dollars. I received emails saying that they would take care of me but never followed through. I had to keep calling just to see the case of a simple speeding ticket. In the end the lady said the DA never got back to her, after 4 months of a simple speeding ticket, I had to pay another 140 bucks to pay of the ticket. Next time I should just pay the ticket and beg the court not to put any points, that would be less stress full than going to this firm to seek advise. I bet I I haven't call this case will go unnoticed and I would have gotten a warrant for my arrest. My lord, I never had an issue with a law firm that toke care of simple speeding tickets. read more

I used Mr. Nelson for filing bankruptcy, he was great but I have called his office 4 times due to something else. I told the receptionist what I needed, it's just a letter from him about a lien but he has never contacted me. Whoever has been answering the phone tells me that they will have him contact me and not one word that I have heard from him. If he is too busy to help me then they should tell me this, not ignore my calls. This to me is not professional at all !!! read more

JK Nelson law is the best! I currently live in Las Vegas but had to settle things in Pahrump. I found JK Nelson before my relocation and am forever grateful I filed with them. Obviously the drive isn't ideal but Jonathan was always available via email or phone. Jonathon and staff are always friendly and work like a clock. I'm thankful I found JK Nelson Law because they made me feel complete again. THANK YOU JK NELSON LAW read more

Beautiful & inviting office. Warm friendly staff. A very knowledgeable local attorney that not only cares about his clients, he also cares for our community. The fees are very reasonable compared to other firms. He is quick to understand your concerns & questions and then fully explains each option. From the most simple questions to complex legal issues, this is the only place you need to call. Conveniently located in the Home Depot shopping center. read more

We paid for him to represent us for a restraining order. All details were given to him. When we were in court he did not give the judge the right information. We got the restraining order because the other person did not show up. When we got the paperwork from the court we had a question. I had to leave a message on two different occasions and never got a call back. read more
