    Booking an appointment was easy and within a reasonable time frame. The reception area was clean…read moreand comfortable. We were greeted promptly by Molly (who later helped me with an eye appt for my 2 yr old grandson). The staff was friendly, and checked me in right away. *I do have to say I waited 1/2 hr after my appt. time (but they were apologetic and got me in quickly after I told them). The assistant who did the pre-exam was very good, and I felt well taken care of. Dr. Anais Patail came in and was friendly and professional. She was very thorough in her exam, and I felt like I mattered to her. She explained everything as she was doing it, and took her time. Was thoughtful in her explanation about my eyes and gave me instructions on how we would follow thru with the care. She walked me out to the front desk to be 'discharged' .... and once again Molly Henry was a pleasure to deal with. I will be going back to this practice, as will my children and grandchildren.     We have been going to this clinic for many years and their level of service has greatly diminished…read more My husband's appointment was in January and they ordered a trial pair of contacts that he had to return to pick up. After trying them out for a while, he found that they weren't staying in focus so he called and asked for a different trial pair. He was told that someone would call him back....and no call ever came through. He called several times over the course of 5 weeks and each time he is told that someone would call him back. Since no call ever came, he decided to drive to the clinic today to inquire in person. Magically, they had his new trial pair of contacts and he asked how long they had been there since he was never informed. He was told that they had been there since January 29th and that supposedly someone called him but there was no answer. So, first thought was that there is voicemail and no voicemail was left. He checked his call log of incoming calls and there wasn't an incoming call from the clinic. The second thought is that why wouldn't they attempt to call again and why wouldn't they reach out via email? Because of this experience, we will consider changing Eye Doctors. This is a branch of a corporate chain of clinics. It is surprising that they have allowed their service to diminish as we have experienced. It shouldn't be such a hassle to get the proper prescription contact lenses.

    Dec 10, 2024 After interviewing Dr Hanzlik for cataract…read moresurgery, I was impressed by his friendly manner and knowledge. Because I was impressed, I let him talk me into upgrading my single lenses that Medicare pays to $4000 trifocal lens that I had to pay out of pocketI am 75 and needed better eyesight to find a job. This operation wiped out my savings but to have the promised results I felt it was worth it. However, the results have left me with more problems than solutions. The first eye went ok and after a week I went back to have the second eye done. For me, there were red flags as soon as I walked into the surgery waiting room. It was stuffed with more people than should be in there. In fact, a patient who had waited over two hours was arguing with the rude staff. There was yelling. I now understand because I waited several hours before I was let in to prep. It was a rushed operation. Everyone including several nurses were upset about the crowding and rushed surgeries. It was just plain awful. In the end, the second lens is not right. This could be due to Dr Hanzilk rushing due to the backup of patients or the implanted lens was faulty. After over a month, even though the first lens is ok, the second lens is throwing my sight off. It is blurry and I constantly see a mass of black dots. There is a constant battle in my brain deciding which eye to favor. It leaves me exhausted and depressed. Yesterday I finally had an appointment and his answer to all this was to come back and see him in 6 months. He also suggested I will need reading glasses. Up sale me to $4k lenses and I still have to wear glasses? When I explained that because both eyes have different issues, glasses are not a possibility. He did not answer. When I complained about the issues with the second lens he responded back that I hadn't even paid his bill yet. However, I had paid $3200 of the $4000 it all cost me. To keep from hurting my credit I have since paid the balance.. I have a terrible feeling that I am stuck with this issue and may be unable to repair the damage. Staff and care were subpar as was the whole experience. Update: Due to what I consider criminal activity under Fla Stat. 817.5695 Deception to induce a person over 65(I am 75), I am filing a complaint with FMA and possibly local authorities.
