Just paid $69.00 for an air filter replacement. What a racket. I'll never go back. I just got Jiffy'd alright, but they forgot the lube.

When my car broke down and I was stuck on the side of the road, he still went beyond his mechanic duties to check on me and offered me a ride home free of charge with the help of his colleague Mr Dustin. Mr Derek does not upsell and does not give BS; he is transparent and candid about the diagnosis process, the repairs, and the quotes. He offered to run simple tests on batteries and inspections of the car for me for free. He also responds quickly to requests, questions via Yelp and phone. My alternator of the car was bad and Mr Derek gave me two options: remanufactured and OEM. He clearly explained what the pros and cons of each one and respected my decision. The issue was fixed within 2 days. The value is reasonable. And Mr Derek takes really good care of his customers. I highly highly recommend him.

Derek was great and the work was completed as requested to my 100% satisfaction. The only…read morerecommendation I would make would be to find someone to sweep up the garage, especially when it's windy. Lots of leaves and clutter had apparently blown into the garage so my first impression of the shop was not so good. However, Derek's attitude and the quality of work as well as a fair price made the visit a good one. Finally, the area has plenty of places to grab a bite to eat or get a cup of coffee while you wait.

I live in San Diego and my son goes to school in Colorado so I couldn't see the car SO I wanted a second opinion on the car I had the Ford dealer bring it to Christian Brothers. 2 Hours later I got a call. They were going to replace with a used engine with more miles on it than my current engine. Gave them a call to ask what the deal was. They said it failed a compression test. I took it somewhere else for a second opinion. The second mechanic fixed it by replacing some fuel injectors and O2 sensors for a couple hundred bucks. I told the second mechanic that I was told it failed a compression test. He told me he did a compression test too and it looked fine. That was over 3 years and tens of thousands of miles ago and my engine is still going strong. I think this is the first bad review I have ever left because I don't want to hurt someone's business and I'm sure there are good mechanics who work there, but I wanted to caution people to get a second opinion before accepting a big job from CBA on Woodlawn.

The guy who was going to repair the key ignition, called me if I would like to get a used part instead of a new one and I totally agreed because the cost was much less than the new one. The mechanics were excellent at that time. However, something happened a few years ago as the people changed. Prices went up quickly and it made me feel the recent change of employees was the issue. The last time I went there, I had an oil leak - after the oil change. I told them about it, had to take it back and they said it was not an oil leak and all they had to do was tighten up the lid. However, when I took my car to another auto shop to clean the headlights, they found an oil leak. They fixed it and did it the right way. This particular incident made it clear to me that Yost had no intention of fixing my vehicle correctly. That made me very angry as I spent thousands of dollars in the past. I have stopped going there. I would never recommend their services to anyone.

Tldr; I needed help with a hardstart/idle issue and was charged $100 for a Quick OBD II scan…read more(which I didn't need), a car start, and an oil check. Will not use, nor recommend these guys. I have a car that has a hardstart/idle issue. After spending a lot of time and effort trying to solve it myself and failing, I decided I needed help from someone with more than the meager knowledge I have; so I took it to Automotive Diagnostic Center to have them find the problem. I made sure that I provided them, both in written and verbal form, a comprehensive description of the problem and the actions that I had taken to try to solve it so that they would have a good starting point. I received a call from them saying that the oil needed changed and I could come pay the diagnostic fee, $100, and pick up my car, or they could change the oil, $60, but they couldn't proceed with the diagnosis until the oil had been changed. To be clear, I am not complaining that they said the oil needed changed because, it did. I'm not even complaining about the cost they quoted me for the oil change; $60 is reasonable, a bit steep, but not horrible. My problem is, they charged me $100 to do a surface scan with an OBD II, start the car and check the oil. I'm sorry, but, can you not see the issue here, ADC? This is the kind of stuff that so many shops pull that make people distrust and dislike you. For $100, you could have done any number of things (all things that I don't have the tools to do nor the knowledge to know what to look for and why I took to someone who should): * Compression test * Blow by test * Intake manifold vacuum test * Fuel pressure test * Check the spark plugs * Use a fancier OBD II to do a more in depth diagnosis to see what each of the components are actually doing to see if one is just barely working or acting in a way that indicates a short or bad wire/connection. Those are just some examples off the top of my head. I'm sure that other things could have been done. What you did do, I could have done, and had done myself and would not have brought it to you had that been what needed to be done.
