As a 1 hour to work commuter, I became a regular at Midas receiving oil changes every few weeks. I…read morehad no complaints and even a loyalty program punchcard to receive a discount or free change after x number of visits. My latest experience though, has turned me completely off - I will not be back. When I arrived at Midas it was 20 minutes to closing, it seemed as though things had quieted down for the evening. The mechanics were gathered around chatting, anxiously waiting to go home, and I was the only customer in the shop. I was turned away! They turned my business down and that's no way to run a business. I was shocked, I a loyal customer, and those guys knew me. Not only that, I had left work early to be there in what I thought, was time. I could understand if things were busy and I was a frantic customer pulling in 10 minutes to closing - that was not the case. Now, if I owned a business and found out that my employees were doing things like this out of laziness, or for whatever reason, I'd appreciate being informed. So I called Midas and spoke with the receptionist. She took all my information and said she'd look into it. By the end of the day no phone call was returned. So I picked up my phone, when the receptionist answered I received a much different tone from our initial conversation. She was rude, and made no apology for any of it. This one experience speaks louder than all previous mediocre appointments :)
