The owners, Bridget and Joe are REALLY nice people and their work has been featured in The KNOT (magazine). When I was deciding on photographers, I decided to go with DM because they were very friendly, nice, and they seemed to be everything I was looking for. PHOTOGRAPHY Before the wedding, we went over everything that I didn't like (ie black and white photos) and everything that I wanted (list of pictures, 2 photographers- 1 being Bridget, tons of pictures, etc). But the day of the wedding I was sent Bridget's sister instead of Bridget (apparently Bridget had sprained her ankle). I understood that Bridget couldn't come but I was upset because nothing that I had relayed to Bridget about what I wanted was relayed to her sister, and on the day of my wedding the last thing on my mind is going over what the photographer needs to do. Unfortunately, Bridget's sister was NOT as good of a photographer. To begin with, she apparently didn't white balance her camera because all the pics in the chapel were orange/yellow. Also, she missed key pictures- ie the entry of the parents/grandparents, the ring exchange, the kiss, pictures of the guests at the reception tables! She also took pics in black and white, which I had specifically asked them NOT to do. Also, DM did not do a good job photoshopping the pictures. I thought that they would at least photoshop the pics so they wouldn't be do yellow, but their photoshopped pics weren't much better than the originals. I was able to photoshop them better and I have no experience with photoshop. I was disappointed in how long it took to get my photos. Another reason I went with them was because they promised to have the proof, pics and photo books done before any of the other photographers. I guess this should have raised some suspicion. The proofs were posted weeks, if not a month after promised. And the photo 'negatives' and photobooks came in a lot later than promised. (I don't remember exactly how long but it was much after the promised time). VIDEOGRAPHY On top of that, a couple weeks before the wedding, Joe called to ask if I wanted them to do the videography at a discounted rate. I had already had someone who was going to do it but DM promised to have the video sooner than the other person and they offered a better price so I had them do my video too. What they failed to mention was that by having them do the video, I lost out on a 2nd photographer. Had I known this, I would have preferred having the 2nd photographer and stuck with my original videographer. I must say that the wedding video was well done and we enjoy it. But the video also took longer than the promised time (months after). And my parents were disappointed because they did not video tape the entire wedding ceremony. So we can not even rewatch the wedding address/sermon. Overall, yes the people at DM are nice. But considering how expensive they are, I was highly disappointed in the end result. Every time I think of my wedding pictures, I think of how much I overpaid for not so great pictures. If you do go with DM, I recommend guaranteeing that you get Joe or Bridget as your photographer if you can. I'm guessing that since they have been featured in the Knot, they have to be better than what I got.

The part that I felt insulted by with this company is she cancelled on me 11 hours before the shoot. I asked her if she did pictures outside or if she had any Easter back drops Because it is that time of year! She then replied "I have gone ahead and issued you a refund, I really get the feeling that you would be more satisfied with another photographer. You might actually be able to find one that is offering Easter sessions especially this time of year. " Just because I asked her this, she cancels on me? This is not a way to do business and I want to make sure anyone else who attempts to use this company is very careful. I would not recommend this business to anyone!

(He later said he doesn't like to use Venmo or said that if I do use it, don't put a reason for payment?) We were an out-of-state nurse and physical therapist traveling couple planning our Ohio wedding from South Carolina at the time (Our plan was to be in Ohio working on contract before the time of the wedding and then move onto the next state that needed us after we got married). Bob did not answer well to emails after we paid him and signed the contract. We wanted to go over the timeline and discuss pictures that we absolutely wanted the day of. We had one phone conversation five weeks before the wedding which pretty much just included him trying to convince us to do a first look against our wishes. His argument was that we would not have enough time to get the photos he needed during cocktail hour. I expressed our wishes to keep it traditional and he just kept going on about it and how I needed to keep my wedding party in line. A week later, one month prior to our wedding date we found out that due to the pandemic COVID-19 our wedding would have to be canceled. We were completely devastated. We had spent SO much of our time and money over the last year planning this event that every bride has been dreaming of her whole life. As I mentioned earlier, my fiancé and I do travel work across the United States. There would be no way to re-plan a wedding so we had to call it off. Rescheduling wasn't an option since we would not be in that area any longer. Bob was not open to refunding our large deposit or any portion of it. Bob did not perform any work for us. He did not create a wedding timeline and was not there for us when we reached out to him numerous times. He stated that his refund was non-refundable as listed in the contract, but a pandemic is out of our control and was NOT listed on the contract. After much discussion, Bob stated in an email that we would receive our deposit back and then quickly changed his mind in the next email. He told me that it was tremendous I was employed when so many are in trouble, not understanding that yes I might be working as a nurse (on the front lines of a pandemic no less), but I'm still also a bride that had her dreams of her wedding day shattered and he offered no flexibility. Even if I'm working, how does that make it right to keep our deposit when he performed no work? I would not recommend this business.

The reason why is their photo booth is different than anyone else's out there. Rather than a booth, they have a free standing backdrop where you can cram a ton of people in to one photo. Think of it as walking the red carpet shots. Also - the quality of the photos and the lighting is awesome. Everyone looked like rockstars. Their price is reasonable and they bring their own props, 2 people, pens, and special glue (if you want to glue the photo strips to a guest book, etc). Also they gave me an open link to all our photos to share with friends.

The photographer will not allow you to be in the studio when your child is photographed. This will result in your receiving proofs of pictures you don't want. The photographer does NOT know how to photograph a competitive swimmer. Actually, I found all of the photography I saw on the walls of other athletes to be of substandard quality too. But you will NOT find one photo of a swimmer with his/her medals around their necks because the photographer doesn't know how to do that. The photographer will not tell you their prices in advance. You will not be given a price sheet. You will not be given any pricing information whatsoever. You better have computer access or a Facebook account because that is what they use for everything! As an added bonus, when you return to view your proofs it will cost you hundreds of dollars to take those proofs home just to look at them with your family. The starting senior package is over $400 and it does not include enough photos for a family. It's such a rip off. I only bought wallets and one 8x10 and it cost me $130. And I did not get the athletic photo we needed of my son with his medals on his chest, so we had to go somewhere else to get that photo taken. I wrote them a letter expressing my disappointment, but never heard from anyone. They don't care. They just smile at everything, all the time, (Remember the movie :The Stepford Wives? - that's what the employees are like!) they don't ask if you're happy with your photos, they just assume you are. It's ridiculous! Do not go here to get your senior photos taken. You will be terribly disappointed. I wish I had never wasted my time there, or my money.

The bar was packed with everyone trying to get in front of the booth, and we got hundreds of guest pics. They bring the backdrop, props, and an attendant as well. This was such a great addition to our reception, and everyone had so much fun with it! Would definitely recommend adding this as a way to help your guests capture some fun memories!
