I have said it before and I will say it again - while these are basic they are seriously important. As well as covering the basics, the store also has a lot of good quality items. I found some groovy garden ornaments that were priced well at around $8. There was also an awesome money box pig with a funny facial expression. There were items including: - stationery - vases - jewellery - costumes - tupperware - boxes and wrapping paper - and much more. The lady behind the counter greeted us on the way in and didn't say much else. I don't expect much more than that in a variety shop so that was good. I definitely recommend this place for some good quality stuff.

It definitely has something for everyone and every occasion. It had a section for babies and young children with toys and even a pram. At the entrance it had some really cool Halloween facemasks - I wish Halloween were as big here as it is in the States. Ah well. At least I got to look at the masks and dream for a little while. There were so many other groovy items it would be impossible to list them all, so I'm just going to recommend you check it out. The owner Melissa is absolutely fantastic and will help you out with anything you need. There is a little room out the back where the business Mardi Armour Beauty offers beauty treatments like waxing and eye treatments. You can also call the store to make a booking to see Clairvoyant and Tarot Reader Kathleen Rose. Is that proof enough that this store has something for everyone? I think so. The staff member on when I visited was very nice when I walked by the counter however did not welcome me when I first walked in. Maybe she didn't feel like shouting across the big room - that's understandable. The floor was a bit messy with objects that had fallen off the shelf and not been picked up but otherwise it was clean enough. I certainly didn't expect to find statues and figurines of the Winnie the Pooh characters placed in an important spot normally reserved for the more expensive items. Yup, they were on a shelf right behind the counter where everyone can definitely see them. I'm not saying the stock here is bad, just that it doesn't seem that elegant to me. The store is clean, the stock is well spaced and presented in nice categories. The staff work hard and are mostly amongst the aisles dusting or cleaning. There is always someone behind the counter however. The service is good too - staff are happy to answer questions and will do their best to help you out. I'm only giving two stars for this one because when it comes to gift shops this isn't one I would typically race towards. Well, unless I was looking for a gift for my grandmother, or non-existant child. There are gifts for people who are really young and really old, but none for the 'inbetweeners' such as myself.

It is kind of like those websites that list things kids born in particular decades would remember. For example, kids born in the nineties should remember those little beanbag type toys called 'slammers'. They had funny expressions on their faces and would bleat little sayings when you slammed them. Anyway, this shop has an abundance of things that reminded me of my years in the nineties. There were those groovy semi-circle popper things that I used to set up on the ground and then wait anxiously for it to pop and scare me. It was very tempting to get a few set up around the shop but I managed to restrain myself. As well as all these groovy, childhood-memory-inducing items there were also some really nice accessories. I bought a pair of fluoro pink sunglasses that for only $14.95 even came with a carry bag. I also found a gorgeous blue leather wallet but at $289 I quickly put it down. The customer service in here was amazing and I had a great conversation with the shop owner Nina. She was lovely and for the half hour or so that I was in the shop she ensured I felt comfortable at all times. It is a great place to pick out a unique present or gift. Kids will love it for what to them are a heap of unique toys and adults will love the visit because there are a heap of things from their younger days to enjoy.
