They consistently pay the most on scrap gold as I have checked this on several occasions

I've been treated wonderfully and terribly at this location. As far as ring inspections go: my…read morerings were inspected here and the main stone in my engagement ring was loose and they didn't catch it, and a stone in my 5 stone wedding band was loose. They didn't catch it either. My rings are under warranty, and my main stone was chipped after they resized it from a 7 to a 5.75. Did they want to replace it? No! They wanted me to shell out $3000+ for a new center stone and even suggested an $8000 upgrade! They said the chip was an inclusion. It was only replaced after I went to the North Macon location and they verified that the stone was chipped. It was also loose again! My setting had been all jacked up from the resizing. It's wonky! To fix it this Kay's suggested an entire new setting: about $1400+... I refused to pay for THEIR crappy work and demanded they fix my ring. Now it's round 3... I was told by the store associates to "fill out the form myself" to explain what's wrong with the ring. Well, the new center diamond is at a slant. My ring is still wonky! I don't know jewelry terms! If you don't see what is weird looking about this, you don't need to work in a jewelry store! Unfortunately I'm forced to deal with this location because they initially sent the ring off to resize it. If you're buying or looking they treat you like gold. If you're upset they look at you like you're stupid. Very condescending... But I'm generously giving 1 star because I feel like it's mostly due to poor training. I'm ticked off at Kay Jewelers in general at this point. Go to the North Macon location if you MUST do business with this money grubbing company. I had one or 2 off experiences with Reed's but would recommend them before Kay's any day.

Decent Kay's, nice employees, but not very knowledgeable. I would say run of the mill Kay's that…read moreyou would find in the mall, only that this is a standalone. The best part of this Kay's is the AMAZING jeweler/repairman on site. This is the saving grace of the Kay's that makes it a 3 and not a 2.
