The woman who helped us barely spoke. She would hand us rings we pointed to. No consulting, no suggestions. The bands I liked were fairly simple and I noticed they were $1k more than another jeweler I had visited with almost the exact same look. I decided I'd get my two rings elsewhere. We saved $2,500 and ended up with even prettier rings. My fiancé really liked a mashup of two rings they had. Again, no consolation as he explained what he liked. The notes were written down. He asked many questions about weight, feel, etc. Our saleswoman couldn't answer any of it. No surprise, when we went to pick up his ring it was totally wrong. Wrong size, width, etc. We had to explain what we wanted (again) and waited another 4 weeks. We finally got the right band with very little time to spare to start over if he didn't like it the second time. Probably fine if you are buying straight from the case and have no questions. For anything custom or if you want service, SKIP.

This shop has a great aesthetic, clearly relating to their coastal location, but also modern and clean enough to be right at home on any of the main shopping drags back in Portland. It has a varied inventory, and I found myself impressed with some of the art, a number of gorgeous reclaimed-wood serving platters, and great fragrances (both in candles and sprays). They had a nice selection of plants, and for the holidays were selling some really lovely wreaths. I highly recommend giving this shop a browse. And let's not forget Gus, the shop dog.
