This trip was all about giving our two-year-old daughter the best possible boat adventure (with the bonus of celebrating an early Father's Day for my husband!), and Captain Donny made sure it was everything we hoped for. He was so kind, welcoming, and wonderful with all of us, especially our toddler. We chose the one-hour tour, and it was perfect. We explored the beautiful Elizabeth Islands, and seeing Naushon Island from the water was spectacular. I've spent the last 44 summers on Cape Cod, and somehow I'd never experienced these incredible views. It felt like discovering a whole new side of the Cape. We also loved hearing about Captain Donny's family's connection to Landfall, one of our favorite Cape Cod restaurants! We had such a great time that we're already talking about when we can book another tour. We've been telling all of our neighbors they need to go, too! Novice but enthusiastic offshore fishers with lots of inshore and freshwater experience. This was a first for all of us. We were 40-45 miles offshore all morning in an area with nothing shy of 100 whales, breaching, porpoising, and spouting the entire time. Fogged in for early morning with improving skies all day. The first fish was 38-40" fish that blew up the top water spread when he hit it, amazing. Second fish was right at the max, 70", probably north of 180#s. Captain Dennis had to work to keep us on fish as the wolfpack were pretty finicky near the surface. We called it to go try for striper, and within an hour of fishing for striper, we were maxed out. Boat great, First mate and Capitain great team, fish were the real stars of the day. When we got back, all fish were fileted and prepped for us to portion out and freeze. Still enjoying the spoils at dinner time. Thank you Dennis. We'll be back!!!!

He identified lots of birds and other creatures for us, including laughing gulls, fish crows, cormorants, horseshoe crabs, stripers, and seals during our 3 hour trip. It was all fascinating. During the break, he caught a horseshoe crab and told us a lot about them, then did a show and tell about Cape shellfish. And of course, kayaking on the Cape on a perfect July day - doesn't get much better! The water was cool and clear, all the equipment was in great shape, and all we had to do was show up and follow Matt out into the windy, grassy waterways. I'd go again tomorrow if I could!
