I give this company one star because zero stars is not an option. We called Wilson & Associates for…read moremonths before they finally worked us in to do a property line assessment. Our neighbors planted trees on the property line, even slightly on our property and we needed proof so that we could have legal backing during a discussion about what to do moving forward in the event that we sell our home. We hired Wilson &A to give us legal documentation. Keith Brotherton came out and put stakes in our yard demonstrating the line. He assured me that I would be receiving legal proof shortly and that his work would provide me with everything I needed to begin this conversation with my neighbors. He said he needed to pull some records and do more calculations in the office. Keith also mentioned that the stakes were pretty meaningless without the records he was going to evaluate - so that I should have all that legal paperwork soon. I asked what the total cost would be, he said $500 at the most, but that he couldn't give me an exact quote until he got into the paperwork. We never received any paperwork. Months pass. We called the company and emailed - never hearing anything. Then we receive a bill for $500. We keep calling and emailing so that we can get the paperwork and pay the bill. All we get back are angry emails that our bill is past due. Finally my husband is able to get a woman on the phone. She claims he never sent emails requesting the paperwork and then she locates the emails he sent. My husband pays the bill and this woman promises him that our paperwork will be coming shortly. She understands what has happened and apologizes. The next day, we receive two hateful emails from Keith who has been asked to send us paperwork by his accounting staff. Keith is at this point unaware that we have paid our bill and so decides to raise the fee of our assessment to $1250 - is this legal?!! I call Keith to let him know we are already paid in full, we just need the paperwork. His response is to demand a new fee of $1250, says we must pay $750 more in order to receive the paperwork we have already paid for! Then he claims his work is actually already complete having only placed stakes in my yard. Keith said that's all I need in order to claim property line violation - contradicting previous statements. I've researched what one can expect during a property line assessment: paper documentation of the land surveyed and a fee of $456 (national average). This company makes most of its money off much bigger projects than mine. Keith made me aware of that when he was staking my yard. If you're a small project - take your business elsewhere. Keith said his company only took on my project because during a recession - these small land survey projects pay the bills, so they try to keep one foot in this world. Their total lack of dedication to smaller projects was demonstrated by horrendous communication surrounding my land survey and Keith deciding to quit my project halfway through the work and after we had paid in full. I would encourage larger scale projects to find another company too - one that cares about homeowners as much as they care about corporations. If your only two choices are Wilson & Associates and your cousin's dead hamster, I promise you'll get better results from the decaying rodent buddy. Because it's honestly better to have never interacted with these folks than to entrust them with your project needs. They'll fumble in every way possible. It's impressive really - like watching a bird hit every window trying to fly into the house. How did that bird manage such an incredible feat of perfecting impenetrable stupidity? Ask Wilson & Associates. They're sure to call you back 3 months later, never follow up with the paperwork you commissioned and then bill you for a service that didn't happen while screaming at you to deal with an invoice you've covered whilst still never actually receiving the necessary documentation, then raise the fee by 150% above the national average. But hey! I've got some worthless $500 stakes in my yard!!

I have to say, this is a remarkable company! Great service and they really know their stuff…read more They really put clients first!
