Parking can be a chore. It's obvious that the personnel are instructed to compliment you or to talk about personal issues. That's not a slam. I wish I could give this location ZERO stars because that is what they deserve. I went in tonight at 8:40pm for dinner, looking for a hot chicken chipotle sandwich. The pompous pipsqueak behind the counter had the audacity to tell me that the grill was already closed for the night. Surprised, I asked what time the store closed and he said 9pm, (which I knew). He said they closed the grill down at 8:35. When I asked "why?" he proceeded to tell me that they were "way over sales for the day". ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I went here the other week and got a hot sandwich. While I was waiting for my sandwich I watched the girl who was grilling it move from the veggies she was heating to take several bites of her own sandwich which was right next to the grill. I watched for a bit and couldn't believe what she was doing. I said something to the cashier, she said something to the girl and the girl who was grilling moved to the cold sandwich line- spreading her germs as she went. Will never go here again! Disgusting! Despite the apparent lack of enough employees, the teenage crew had nothing but sour attitudes, and seemed bothered by the simple requests of "can I have extra pickles on my sandwich." But what tops it all is their cashier is not only handling both the money but the sandwiches all while wearing his rubber food handling gloves. I don't always eat sandwiches, but when I do, it's at Jersey Mike's Subs! This Temecula location is amazing for a few reasons! 1. Service is phenomenal. They take the time to GREET everyone walking in! If the line is long, they take the time to let you know they see you and they appreciate you waiting and they'll be right with you. 2. They enthusiastically and generously support local schools. They don't sneer when you come in to support a fundraiser, they actually thank YOU! 3. The serving sizes are unbelievable. I am Vegan, so I love the Veggie with no cheese -- lots of veggies and oil & vinegar. But my friends got the Tuna, and Roast Beef and they were LOADED with meat. 4. The ingredients are FRESH. The tuna and other meat is kept in the cooler where it belongs (not on the sandwich prep line like other places). The meat is freshly sliced to order. 5. Location is awesome. Located conveniently in the Albertson's/Home Depot shopping center on your way up Temecula Parkway/ Hwy 79 when you're headed to all the beautiful resorts and wineries. ;-) Some reviews said the bread is "Cardboard" and flavorless??? - not at all! I have the burden every day to come up with meals for about 8 people. Last week we decided to give this place a try. Out of 8 of us, 7 did not enjoy our meals. Very few toppings and an uncomfortable ordering process (remember I have to order for 8 people) make this a sub shop to avoid. The sandwiches are good...but it is just a sandwich. What bothers me is that they ask you for a tip every time you check out. Isn't just the basic service supposed to include a good sandwich for what I pay? You're not bringing the food to me as in a sit down restaurant. Well, It is better that Subw@y but you are going to pay for that difference. I thought they were a bit overpriced for their regular sized sub. Got two sandwiches and after the reviews and checking out their web site I was ready to have a great sub. Instead I am still searching. I guess if Subw@y is a 3 star, then this place is 3 1/2 but I am not sure that I'll go back - it was not all that. I did not feel that I got any more meat than subway at least not more than I could really tell and my wife (pastrami connoisseur) said that their pastrami was only so-so. Coming from the East Coast, I been waiting for Jersey Mike's to hit the West Coast. When the chain arrived here in Cali, I went out to the Jersey Mike's in OC to eat. But in a few years, they started to come to the IE. The store in Temecula is the one I frequent a lot. I always get the turkey, bacon, and alvacado giant sub with Mike's Way. This sub is da BOMB! You can't go wrong with this. The ONLY reason it received 4 stars is due to the small size of the restaurant to eat inside. read more
