Let me tell you one thing. The "poutine" I had today at "Jerry's Fries" was not the poutine I know and love. It was not Canada's greatest export. It was not made with thick cut fries cooked to perfection with copious amounts of real cheese curds and flavourful beef gravy.
The poutine I had today, I wouldn't even feed to my dog.
Me and the fellas used to head down to Jerry's all the time. Generous amounts of poutine for fair prices ($4.00 for a baby size, which was huge). The poutine that came out of that truck truly was one of a kind. But those days are long gone my friend.
Today I paid $8.50 for basically a Dixie cup full of day old fries covered in gravy and a few cheese curds. I paid double what I used to for half the amount of fries and it wasn't even 1/10th as good as the old Jerry's
I wish I didn't go into anaphylactic shock the second I was handed this poor excuse for a poutine so I could have taken a picture to put on the cover of How To Ruin a Business 101.
Jerry, wherever you are please come back and make this right. You're our only hope. read more
