The doctor stated my husband needed another MRI, but it was never scheduled, and when my husband called multiple times to ask about it, those calls were never returned. On top of that, the doctor consistently neglected to fill out the required insurance forms for short-term disability benefits, creating enormous stress during an already difficult time. Even worse, when finally pressed, the doctor misrepresented what had been said to my husband when communicating with the insurance company. The lack of responsiveness, accountability, and honesty has been devastating for us. Patients deserve care, attention, and truthfulness--none of which we received here. We are filing a state medical board complaint but wanted to warn others while they investigate this "doctor."

The pain would be intolerable, I would take a pill and the pain would slowly fad but even then, be so uncomfortable I would sit on my hands or put them under my arms is traveling. I do not think it reduced the pain but was more like sucking my thumb. Eventually I had to up my medication and because our government got into the pain business, I had to go to a pain specialist as my family practice doctor could not prescribe more than two pills a day. To give you a feel for my reaction to Hydrocodone It deadens the pain but does not give me any feeling of being high or like a happy pill. Just does it pain job, That's It. No fun pain pills. So, they send me to Dr. Kirit Bhalani. He assessed my pain and sent me for testing at my neurologist and as the pain got worse pushed my meds to three pills a day and allowed for a fourth pill for extreme day which were many. There were days when I just laid on my hands in bed and prayed for sleep of some relief. The fourth pill helped and made me feel life was worth living and that I could live normally and be relatively pain free. He discussed options and I opted for a spinal injection to block the nerve pain. Unfortunately, this did not work, and my neurology office suggested a regimen of Lyrica. Dr Bhalani agreed and decided my Lyrica could be changed from 100mg x 3 to 150mg x 3. I can not tell you how glad I am to have found this wonderful doctor.

He is a consummate professional and has dedicated his life to not only Veterans but all his patients. He served the VA Orlando as the Chief of Neurology for over 14 years and has now gone into private practice but not without ensuring he is still contracted with the VA as a community care provider. He is also a professor at UCF and works closes with the RosKamp Institute in Sarasota ensuring Veterans exposed in military service get the help they need. He believes in patient care FIRST as he spends a significant amount of time getting to know his patients, examining and evaluating them for ongoing care. So many times in the medical community you are made to feel terrible about whatever is going on or you are gaslit by the doctors you turn to for help. Dr Hoffmann provides individualized care, treatment, and compassion in all that he does. He is truly a HERO among those who seek out his help. He advocates and goes the extra mile for his patients to ensure they can live their best lives. While the VA throws pharmaceuticals at Veterans like myself, Dr Hoffman looks for alternative ways to manage physical symptoms, and pain. He is a wealth of knowledge and brilliant minded while remaining truly genuine and down to earth in wanting to help all who seek his care. In my lifetime I don't think I have met a more caring, compassionate human. His knowledge and education are impressive and his patient care comes before anything else. He is the Neurologist you want, you have now found, and you will thank me for after you meet him. Go to his website BrainBeatNeurology.com and READ his philosophy on patient care. This is not a gimmick. He is a real doctor (MD) with the biggest heart . Like I said you will thank me later. Well worth the drive to Winter Garden!

This was after three days of trying to reach someone to confirm the location -- and being told by their voicemail not to leave more than one message. No one ever called me back. When I finally reached someone after leaving the Ormond office, she said she would contact Orange City and call me right back. That call never came either. I drove to the second location on my own, only to be told I could not be seen and would need to make yet another appointment. By then, I had wasted half my day, two unnecessary trips, and my own gas because of their complete lack of communication and coordination. No patient should have to deal with this level of disorganization. My time has value, and I fully expect the doctor to pay the invoice I submitted for the time, mileage, and inconvenience caused by their repeated mistakes. This office needs serious internal fixes before more patients are affected.
