I thought this place was one of the best 'vintage' stores I have visited in Oslo. But then again,…read moreI haven't been to many places...and while this is called 'Velouria Vintage', I think it is more of a used goods store, not true vintage. I just don't consider an oversized Bart Simpson t-shirt from 1999 vintage. But nevertheless, there were some good finds throughout the place.
The location was great as you can just hop off of trikk 11, 12, or 13 at Olaf Reyes Plass and walk up the hill a little and it'll be on the right hand side. The hours are wonderful. I love when places stay open until 7pm because it gives people who have a job (ie. almost everyone) a chance to shop when they are off of work.
This place had quirky dresses, jackets, boots, purses, etc. Lots of band t-shirts as well (again, not necessarily vintage but more used).
I am used to hundreds of vintage stores in the US, so it is really hard to rate a place that does Oslo well, but is not really all that good. That is how I describe this place. It is good for Oslo, but would quickly go under anywhere else.
With that said, I'll definitely check this over-priced place out every once in a while to see what I can come up with.
