FRAUD - that is what sums up my experience! I had sold myself on a new Mazda. I contacted a Sioux Falls dealer and Jensen Mazda Sioux City because they both had the same car I wanted to buy. I sent both dealers an email requesting their best price to avoid the hostage-like negotiations and wasting my time by sitting in their office listening to their double talk of MSRP and trade in price that car salesman are known for. I was very specific on my detailed email request with the 2500.00 pay off loan, my trade in car value and the extras I wanted added to the new car. I even sent my application, pay check stubs, insurance card and since I just bought a new car from them in 2017, they had all my personal info anyway. Just the final loan price for everything is all I wanted to hear. Sioux Falls shot me a price quickly +/- on the trade in. Wanda at Jensen Mazda gave me her best price which happened to be 1800.00 cheaper. Great! This was easy and I informed Sioux Falls that Jensen Mazda was able to beat his price. Oddly, he said, that was unusual to get beaten by Jensen but warned me to get it in writing and ask if it had hail damage but was happy for me and said he would have done the same thing to save 1800.00. So I called Wanda at Jensen Mazda and asked about the hail and she confirmed it had hail damage but that would get fixed and I requested the quote in writing. I got nothing all day. Next day we talked and texted and I still requested a written quote and still nothing. She asked me how fast I could get to Sioux City and I said I will come after work and gave her an ETA of 6:30pm. She called me at mile marker 25 and said OH NO we have a problem...I can't sell that car at that price. But still come anyway they will get it figured out somehow. I walked in at 6:30 and she said she didn't figure in the pay off loan and that would be extra. She said it was her fault but between her and the finance manager they couldn't do anything without Mr. Jensen's approval. I said that is why I wanted that written quote and she said she was too busy there at the dealership. I was so pissed!!! I asked for the total price of everything. I sat there for almost 2 hours while they called the owner, Mr. Jensen and never got ahold of him. But they wanted me to pay them $2000 more money since I was there which was ridiculous! I'm quite sure Mr. Jensen could afford that more than me. In the end, they rescinded the deal even with all the phone calls, emails and texts as proof, put $10 of gas in my car, promised me a dinner gift card and sent me back to Sioux Falls. 4 hours later, upset, hungry and tired I got back home and bought my Mazda in Sioux Falls and they said, I knew that was going to happen to you because they are known for that. WOW!! I had just bought another new car from Jensen Mazda in 2017 so this is how a repeat customer gets treated? SO LET ME WARN SIOUX FALLS RESIDENTS. Stay in Sioux Falls and buy local! BTW month later....still no gift card. Since I work for a large company, I let everyone know about the crooked Jensen dealerships in Sioux City. read more
