As a naturopathic student, I gave it my all to do things naturally and made huge, necessary strides, but it wasn't until Laurence planted the seed that medication is natural for the biochemistry of the ADHD brain, that my life started to change. He reassured me that there is no shame in taking medication in the pursuit of an equal chance at accomplishing my dream of gaining knowledge and sharing it with others. In a sentence: Laurence gets it. My grades immediately improved, quite drastically. Not only was I able to advocate for myself and others to receive academic accommodations; but I was also finally able to integrate medical knowledge and apply it in the structured, linear format of school and work. My phone rang at 7:00pm and I was surprised to hear from him this evening after leaving a voicemail only a day ago. We were on the phone for 45 minutes, and in that time he asked me all about myself, my struggles with adhd symptoms, my past, and about his philosophy in therapy and medication..what type of approach he has for treatments. He listened carefully and intently to everything I said & he had such great and helpful things to say. He's not open for new patients, but he's looking for me and gave me a bunch of recommendations for amazing helpful books and websites. I have my bs in social sciences and I know how much that costs...and I used to work for doctors and I know how much their time costs...it's all very expensive, so for him to call me and generously gift me 45 minutes of his time & knowledge is just so invaluable I couldn't say thank you enough. If anyone reading this struggles with mental health issues like I do, you know why this is so important & why I am taking the time to write this. It can feel so hard to find good care, but what I experienced today in just less than an hour proves that there are great providers out there who love what they do & exist in this profession to truly help people.

Working through struggles Darcy suggested a separation for our marriage. This had no drawn out plan or timeline. This appointment was made as an unscheduled meeting and happened on a Friday before Mothers Day weekend. They wanted me to leave the home. Today we are still separated and I suggested forgiveness and reconciliation. Darcy abandoned us and said she was unable to counsel us any longer. So she suggests separation and then it doesn't work because there was no drawn out plan. Abandons us and says to find someone else. These are professional that are supposed to help in even the most difficult situations. We went 2-3 weeks between appointments which was so painful, especially when sessions were rough. I became hopeful as we finally had the first of 4 weekly appointments in September. I actually had hope these weekly sessions would help and allow us to work through issues. In that first session it was painful to hear her say she was unable to counsel us. No explanation could justify this. It was a feeling of total abandonment. This was right before the first of 4 weekly sessions. On top of that my mom just died 8/16/24 two weeks before we were abandoned. Stay away from this place and know a counselor needs to have a full plan in order to suggest a separation. This separation was a toxic plan that dug a deeper hole instead of drawing our marriage closer. Separation is not Gods plan, unless it's a domestic abusive relationship. The Bible and the Lord are the only resources that can be trusted. The Bible's word never changes. It's truth. It leads people toward repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation. Save yourself the pain and heartache and find wise biblical counselors. Most of these people don't charge anything and try love others.

She prescribed me xanax daily and told me to find residential treatment instead. When I tried to schedule another appointment after I couldn't find options it turned out she had ended the treatment without telling me. $800 and 2 months for basically nothing.
