Do NOT take your kids to Keith Ray at Great Grins in Fern Creek…read more My son has always been terrified of the dentist so when his tooth started bothering him last month I started reading reviews on dentists and found Keith Ray who had great Facebook reviews. My son (who is 8) went last month to have his tooth looked at and they said he need it extracted. We went today to get the tooth extracted and he was not excited (which is normal), he asked me not to send him because he didn't like this dentist. I thought he was just nervous so I sent him in. After picking him up after the extraction he told me that the dentist had yelled at him multiple times telling my son not to talk. My son said he yelled at him not to talk before he even started the extraction. My son said that he yelled "very loud" and it scared him. He said he yelled at him at the last appointment as well but my son was too nervous to tell me. When I had picked him up the dentist reprimanded him for "not listening" while I was standing right there which I did not appreciate. I called them and cancelled the appointment we have next week (for spacer) and they told me they already charged me and filed insurance for the spacer. After confronting the receptionist she did not deny that he was yelled at multiple times but instead said "she has no idea what goes on back in the room". It was only after I threatened to write this did she finally agree not to file my insurance for a spacer we will NOT be getting. After my appointment I did some more digging and found TONS of reviews not on Facebook of him tramautizing children. (tons of him yelling and throwing things in the office. ) Do NOT take your kids to this place unless you want them to be scared of the dentist forever. Seriously this guy is a NUT. This is why kids end up scared of confronting adults. Why be a pediatric dentist if you don't have patience for children?
